| Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis from the Visitor Centre car park. Followed tourist track to the halfway lochan. Then over to the CIC hut, from where an unremittingly steep ascent of 350m took me to Carn Beag Dearg. A fine ridge walk over to Carn Dearg Meadhonach to Carn Mor Dearg, and then the excellent CMD arete to the Ben, affording fine views of the north face. Arrived at the snow covered summit of the Ben at 4.15pm with many visitors and extensive panoramic views in the clear and sunny weather. Followed the zig zags down with a diversion across to bag the two Carn Dearg NW tops. My 15th ascent of the Ben, but first time in 15 years, so great to revisit such a great mountain expedition again. 22km with 1700m ascent taking 10 hours. | silveracorn_alan | 28/05/2022 |

| With Jonathan Bellarby. From the car park at the head of Glen Nevis. We went up beside Allt Coirie Eoghainn, then crossed it and up the east ridge of Carn Dearg. Proceeded to the other Carn Dearg and went up to the summit of Ben Nevis. There were impressive views of cliffs. Continued to Carn Mor Dearg, Carn Mor Meadhonach, and Carn Beag Dearg.
