| Very first hill of the year following easing of Covid-19 restrictions. Lovely early spring evening ascent following 4 hour drive from Suffolk and before checking in to local campsite. Started from Pontesbury Hill car park, following the main track south before turning left up some stairs and the conveniently marked post with an arrow pointing to - The Summit. Bit of a lung buster considering not been up a hill for 4 months but well worth the effort. Went to the trig first then stood on rocky outcrop NNW of trig, but loooks like it is a bit lower than the trig. Returned the same way. | mntainman | 14/04/2021 |

| 1.1 mile up and down from car park north, followed main track out of car park (not steps), walked around the corner and followed sign to summit, steep ascent to top from there, good views of surrounding hills with the cloud just starting to clear off Stiperstones, a few people about. | First beautiful day of Easter holidays, so couldn't resist popping out somewhere. A bit creaky after a winter of pretty much no walking, so a little jaunt up here was quite lovely. Great walk from the car park to the N across Pontesford hill, then a steady ascent up Earl's Hill.
