With DFR, S&R. 6 mile loop of the common. Great lunch at the Royal Oak in Prestbury afterwards | Donpeblo | 22/10/2023 |
Earlier today, in fantastic visibility, I climbed Bredon Hill, and the masts at Cleeve Hill were clearly visible and enticing! I drove to Cleeve Hill Golf Club off the summit of the B4632 where one can park for free if you purchase refreshments in excess of £2. A very pleasant 6 Km walk over the golf course heading for the transmitter masts, then 400m along the fence to the Trig Pillar. A very emotional time for me as I had previously visited this summit with my darling wife some years ago as the highest point in Gloucestershire, on my way to summitting all of England's County Tops. Sue passed away suddenly six months ago, and I miss her so much. Always love you, Sue xxxx | Dartmoorman | 23/09/2023 |
Walked from Cheltenham Racecourse through Prestbury and Noverton, then into fields. Very muddy and thorny footpath route from Noverton Lane. Reached top covered in mud, decent views of Cheltenham on the way up. | hillbagger91 | 23/09/2023 |
afternoon 4 mile walk from Quarry car park. Didn't realise the second trig point encountered was the summit until afterwards! Not too wet, but views were curtailed by mists. | gbeniston | 21/04/2023 |
Easy bag | Nicky C | 11/04/2023 |
First time walking in Cotswolds! County top number 7 on a 10 county top three day expedition with 26 school students and 3 teachers (including myself). Weather was grey and occasional light drizzle but visibility reasonable. Started from car park near golf club and took the Winchcombe Way across Cleeve Common to the transmitting station and then the trig point at the summit. Odd hiking across a golf course! Very open ground though and views would be good on a nice day. Varied the return route by following the ridge to Cleeve Cloud (317m), a much better summit with its own trig point and great views over Cheltenham. Will return here. | jamessteel100 | 05/04/2023 |
05.55. Pre sunrise trig n summit to try and see last slender waning 7% crescent moon. But sky clearly to light.. It was sunrise at 06.16-ish.For first time walked about 7/800m past SE till just beyond the pylons and overhead cables | vegibagger | 19/03/2023 |

A circuit of the Common from the Quarry carpark with R & S. The Red Arrows flew low over the hill after the Buckingham Palace fly-past on their way to a display at Ragley Hall, Alcester, which we could see in the distance. | milimana | 02/06/2022 |
Started at Quarry car park, out to the long barrow at Bela's Knap, back up to the peak. Cracking walk, just needed better visibility. | cjwilliams | 01/05/2022 |

From Winchcombe on Easter Sunday with GFE running. 20km total. Sunny but hazy. | Fionalevey | 17/04/2022 |
Walked to this small summit from the nearby car park. Mist so thick that sometimes you couldn't see 10 metres. | Sapphirites | 29/03/2022 |
On a long, unplanned walk from Broadway to Prestbury, it seemed like a great idea to take in Gloucestershire's two highest hills in one go. Broadway - Seven Wells Hill - Upper Coscombe - Roel Hill - Cleeve Hill - Prestbury. Quite tired by the time I got to the trig, but enough energy to try to get to the hillfort before the sunset disappeared behind cloud. Bad choice of descent route along an increasingly muddy and slippery track through Queen's Wood. I was pretty caked in mud by the time I emerged on the road! | thesweetcheat | 12/03/2022 |
Easy walk along the common from the car park to the South East. Quite windy but sunny with clear blue skies. Quite a few people about as well as Belted Galloway Cattle. Lots of wildlife Red Kites, Stonechats, Skylarks, Ravens, Buzzard, Magpie. We walked to the trig and summit and carried on to look down over Cheltenham Racecourse. Good views to the Malvern and Forest of Dean. Time taken 3 miles for 1.5 hours | isabelle | 27/02/2022 |
Circular hike from layby on B4632 to first trig point on Cleeve Cloud/golf course, then to the memorial tree before bagging the second trig point close to the fence on Cleeve Common. | manilena | 30/01/2022 |

Did Gloucestershire's County Top on the same day as Warwickshire. A windy but cool county top, full of a big golf course on the hill. The Trig is near 3 Masts, great views over Cheltenham. | DavidHiner | 28/10/2021 |
With ScottB & Luna. Cleeve Hill to Broadway, following parts of the Cotswold Way. | masmith | 16/10/2021 |

Walked from the centre of Cheltenham to get to this featureless summit. | chrismytton | 26/09/2021 |
Parked at free car park next to golf club. Avoided golf balls along with sheep on walk to summit. Wonderful views to enjoy from various benches . Good entertainment watching golfers compete against sheep for the greens and fairways. | Hippy77 | 15/08/2021 |
Easily accessible from the Cleeve Hill Common Car Park (small but free). Again, very exposed so definitely not one for today's 30+ degree heat. That said, there is a seating area a click or two from the summit with enough of a tree to afford some shade. Stunning views, trig point easily found and nice table top pointer to highlight points of interest. Very little incline from the car park and a fantastic choice for the 4th (and last) of today. | jamiequackers | 19/07/2021 |
Very hot, 29C, day with perfect blue skies. Walked from Winchcombe via Langley Hill Farm and the golf club, where we stopped for ice cream. Its also worth noting non-members can get food in the cafe here. Along the ridge to the summit, passing the lonesome pine. Then on to Belas Knapsack long barrow before dropping back down to Winchcombe. | pclyndes | 18/07/2021 |
During a 5 day hike doing the Cotswold Way. From the Cotswold Way, ROW then road to Car Park & SE to trig. | fosal29 | 05/07/2021 |
Circular route from Cleeve Commons past Prestbury. | JadeShiante | 17/06/2021 |
Drove to Cleeve Hill village. Parked adjacent to CH Golf Club. Fairly easy walk on paths over sheep-strewn course, avoiding low-flying balls. Excellent views over to Cheltenham racecourse. Trig point & county top close to car park near cluster of masts. No real peak as such, but v enjoyable walk and views on beautiful sunny day. Photo of trig point had Worcestershire beacon in background - 2 county tops in one shot! | timbo99 | 04/06/2021 |
Lovely walk and views on a nice day, pleasant extension to the Belas Knap long barrow if time allows. | Richard Dukes | 31/05/2021 |
Strolled over the summit from the Cleeve Common car park then explored the common. Over to the memorial tree then to Castle Rock | ekm | 01/05/2021 |
In a rush. 10 mins. Then on to the Fosse Way. | Play2End | 30/04/2021 |
Easy bag from car park by radio masts. Continued on to the fine Belas Knap long barrow. Long loop back via Postlip and trig on high point by The Ring. Gorgeous walk with Geraldine, Eoin & Tiarnan. | Pete West | 17/04/2021 |
Given the gorgeous weather, should have made it into a longer walk, but parked in nearest car park and did a short circuit of the common taking in the high point on the way. | Gayle | 04/11/2020 |
