Following on from Dundry Down I needed to feel clean again so went to a soulful cleansing up the Tor. Parked at Silver St CP then followed signs that took me round the back of the tor to the top and down to do a circular. Why no good pubs in Glastonbury though?robphys14/10/2023
Not easy getting parked anywhere near the start of the RoW to SW. Found an iPhone, and managed to return it to its owner.Minto05/07/2023

With Seymour, Terina, & Paul. Sunny & warm. Gentle circular stroll from holiday cottage in East Street near West Pennard. Glorious views. Return along RoW to south of A361 challenging with access restricted by electric fences and obstructive landowners - forced back to road!millionmts22/08/2021
Gusty day nearly blown off the Tor! Brought the MTB up and was a nice bomb down (giving way to pedestrians).FelixClayhill07/08/2021

Parked to the S. at the bottom of Ashwell Lane (no restrictions) at ST 5109 3828 - Up the quiet Ashwell Lane, Basketfield Lane & Stone Down Lane to start of RoW NE of summit - Up concrete path & steps to the high point by tower. (S)gerrybowes13/05/2021
Walked up with Lyndsey from St John's car park, round Chalice Hill out onto Wellhouse Lane and up the north slope to the tower. The sun was setting behind the tower as we ascended. Very picturesque. We walked down via the southern path and back to the car park and away to our hotel in Holkham.Sixtyplus11/12/2020
Two days of steady rain left J & I a bit stir crazy during a few days in Somerset. A brief weather window appeared, so found some free parking at Tor end of Bere Lane, then the short walk along the unpleasantly busy road to the start of the usual path to the top. Not too many folk around. Rain started yet again shortly afterwards.NotReallyABagger05/10/2020

Up the concrete path from the SW. Being a sunny Sunday lots of tourists about.fosal2901/09/2019
Remains of 'Glastonbury' still here after a week. Pontificators on the meaning of chants such as 'Amen, Salaam ...' on the ascent, females in white shawls spreadeagled around the summit, spaced-out, folk camped out under bike-trailer shawls - get the idea. Kinda weird - even for me.Eddie07/07/2019

I'm sure this is a lovely hill but when i visited here in fine weather i have not seen so many people on a hill top before.I should have been warned when i saw coach parties ascend the hill. Had to wait a hour or so at the top to get space to fully record the summit and walk around the flat top summit.I don't think i saw this hill at its best although the weather was wonderful, best to chose the right time to ascend.hodder07/07/2013
