Following on from Dundry Down I needed to feel clean again so went to a soulful cleansing up the Tor. Parked at Silver St CP then followed signs that took me round the back of the tor to the top and down to do a circular. Why no good pubs in Glastonbury though? | robphys | 14/10/2023 |
Not easy getting parked anywhere near the start of the RoW to SW. Found an iPhone, and managed to return it to its owner. | Minto | 05/07/2023 |
From Wearyall Hill via paths/roads round bootom of housing SW of Tor. Descended steps that head NE from just south of the Tower. | KeithByTheC | 28/02/2023 |

After exploring Glastonbury Abbey with Lesley i hwaded off on a circuit. Sunny day, plenty of people around at the top. Lovely views.. continued on circuit via fp and tracks back into town, continuing to Wearyall hill.. | Dazingdale | 28/08/2021 |
With Seymour, Terina, & Paul. Sunny & warm. Gentle circular stroll from holiday cottage in East Street near West Pennard. Glorious views. Return along RoW to south of A361 challenging with access restricted by electric fences and obstructive landowners - forced back to road! | millionmts | 22/08/2021 |
Gusty day nearly blown off the Tor! Brought the MTB up and was a nice bomb down (giving way to pedestrians). | FelixClayhill | 07/08/2021 |
Steeper than expected. | lordtonult | 14/06/2021 |
Parked to the S. at the bottom of Ashwell Lane (no restrictions) at ST 5109 3828 - Up the quiet Ashwell Lane, Basketfield Lane & Stone Down Lane to start of RoW NE of summit - Up concrete path & steps to the high point by tower. (S) | gerrybowes | 13/05/2021 |
Walked up with Lyndsey from St John's car park, round Chalice Hill out onto Wellhouse Lane and up the north slope to the tower. The sun was setting behind the tower as we ascended. Very picturesque. We walked down via the southern path and back to the car park and away to our hotel in Holkham. | Sixtyplus | 11/12/2020 |
Two days of steady rain left J & I a bit stir crazy during a few days in Somerset. A brief weather window appeared, so found some free parking at Tor end of Bere Lane, then the short walk along the unpleasantly busy road to the start of the usual path to the top. Not too many folk around. Rain started yet again shortly afterwards. | NotReallyABagger | 05/10/2020 |

Managed to find free parking down Ashwell Lane and avoided walk from town. Headed down A361 then started ascent up tor from SW. Saw and photographed a Druidic character in the tower banging on his drum then descended down NE side to Stone Down Lane and back to van down Basketfield Lane. | mntainman | 17/01/2020 |

Visited while camping near Taunton with Carol and the dogs. We parked on a back street and walked up the Tor. A lot of tourists at the summit; hazy views in all directions. | Skip | 15/09/2019 |
On the way to walk some of the SWCP - with Viv. Great viewpoint and one long coveted. | JohnIvor | 13/09/2019 |
Up the concrete path from the SW. Being a sunny Sunday lots of tourists about. | fosal29 | 01/09/2019 |
Remains of 'Glastonbury' still here after a week. Pontificators on the meaning of chants such as 'Amen, Salaam ...' on the ascent, females in white shawls spreadeagled around the summit, spaced-out, folk camped out under bike-trailer shawls - get the idea. Kinda weird - even for me. | Eddie | 07/07/2019 |
Early morning stroll at 6am to catch the sunrise. Mix of beliefs and meditators at the top, interesting conversations and beautiful photos. | AngusDog | 05/05/2019 |

with Ann-Cha, Tom and Peter. I had to move out of the leeward shelter of the tower and do the HEMA radio activation in the wind because of two men meditating. One had a huge crystal egg in a box before him! | M0YDH | 12/08/2013 |
I'm sure this is a lovely hill but when i visited here in fine weather i have not seen so many people on a hill top before.I should have been warned when i saw coach parties ascend the hill. Had to wait a hour or so at the top to get space to fully record the summit and walk around the flat top summit.I don't think i saw this hill at its best although the weather was wonderful, best to chose the right time to ascend. | hodder | 07/07/2013 |
Walked up the tourist route from the carpark at Glastenbury. Windy on top of peak. | steverd | 05/04/2013 |
