Didn't realise there was a car park at Hartsop (drive as far as you can to the end of the village, donations to the Patterdale School) so parked at the Cow Bridge car park on the A592. Up to Hartsop Dodd (steep) and then Stony Cove Pike. Great views of Windermere and Morecombe Bay today. Note, the summit is on the West side of the wall, not where the cairn is. Across to Thornwaite Crag and then along the ridge to Gray Crag. Note, the summit is just South of the Wall, not at the summit.tsharp06/09/2015
Two day trip over the Hayeswater fells. Dropped by bag at the col with Thornthwaite Crag and did an out and back to Grey Crag, no hardship as it's a lovely ridge in a grand setting.Jake99411/08/2015
