Last summit on a traverse of the Grey Corries ridge and Stob Ban. Cloud was just catching the top by the time we reached this one. Descended west to the col and then back to the tent at 235693. Walked out the next day. The camp site was midgey but the dark night sky and perfect silence (apart from the stags bellowing every now and again) made up for itmindlessflogger19/09/2015

Finally to get on to the Grey Corries!! straight up the north ridge of STob Coire Clauridh via the N Top, out to Nan Ceannain and back. west of SCC I meet Tom Hayle a man in his late 70's from the Wirral and learn that he's done two Munro rounds and one completion of the tops but is a non declarer to SMC I go right along ridge to west to Sgurr Coineach Beag and then all the way back again and after getting back to Caisteal again head off the northern slopes contouring round to get on to Stob Ban and after steeply off this in the deepening gloom I call in at the bothy in the valey where some kind resident gives me a hot cuppa before I hoof my way back the 6-7km back to where I'd brought my car up the track util I'd found a locked gate at about half past midnight with still much residual light on this glorious day. With Rhona Fraser and Robin Howie. From road end in Glen Nevis. Walked up the path in Glen Nevis. Then struck up the hillside to reach Sgùrr Choinich Mòr. This was Robin’s green tick celebration ie he had ascended all Munros separately. If he did, say, two Munros in a walk only the first counted. It was a beautiful day, with snow above ~500m – up to the knees in places. In the evening celebratory dinner at the Crannog.pwbellarby09/11/1996
