Parked in Sugarbowl car park (£2 all day) on road to ski centre. Round of 4 Simms via Chalamain gap: Carn Eilrig, Carn Odhar, Creag a' Chalamain (path up south slope), Airgiod-meall.PGCE15/07/2020

Just under 14 miles out and back from Sugar Bowl car park, the usual route through Chalamain Gap and up ridge onto summit of Braeriach, great views from the summit stretching from Lochnagar and the southern Cairngorms all the way to Morven in Sutherland, descended over Sron na Lairige summit and Creag a' Chalamain summit avoiding coming through the gap again. Sunny/high cloud all day, windy on ridge but not on summit of Braeriach, saw about 10 people all day.DanTrig19/06/2019

Climbed on way back to avoid going through the Chalamain gap, which contains boulders to clamber over, which were icy and snowy on the way up.gandrew19/11/2017

Rather do this short climb than struggle through the 'gap'. Great cairn.Play2End15/07/2015
good walk, but difficult to get to.owlsrule12/06/2015
Solo. From Sugarbowl car park. Used path that heads towards Chalamain gap. Path very icy with fresh snow on top of ice. Left path to ascend Airgiod-meall. There's a fence to cross but there is a high stile. Continued to Creag a' Chalamain. Passed herd of free roaming reindeer who were quite unconcerned at my presence. Temperature of -9°C recorded at Cromdale this day, lowest recorded in Scotland so far this winter.pwbellarby27/12/2014
