Run up the Ault a Chruinn path. | Matt2901 | 05/11/2023 |
Last peak of the day. Ascended from SE, initially steep, then a meander through rocky knolls, unlike the rest of the Five Sisters. Dropped NW off the summit and picked up the path to Allt a' Chruinn, which turned out to be the unexpected cherry on the top of a great walk with wonderful views of blue Loch Duich and birch and broom lower down. Jogged back to Ratagan SYHA, threw some chilli con carne in the microwave and enjoyed it in the breezy garden overlooking the loch. 21km. 1774m ascent, 7 hours. | Wycombe Wanderer | 04/06/2023 |
Parked in the free CP besides the shop and cafe at the head of Loch Duich, then up the good Allt a' Chruinn path. Once the main ridge reached we first turned left to Sgurr na Moraich, came back, then contoured SW-W to take in the minor summits of Fasach an t-Searraich and Sgurr an t-Searraich. Returned back along Allt a' Chruinn path. | summitter | 28/05/2023 |

Parked below Bealach Lapainn, and out along classic Five Sisters route, finished down at Shiel pub! | nordicstar | 20/12/1999 |
having camped at W end of loch Claunie with Jasper the Dalmatian, I'd diven down to a bit befor Shiel bridge and up to the W end of South Glenshiel ridge, all the way W-E to Creag a'Mhaim, down to camp and next day E-W all along the brothers and sisters in too hot weather and not enough water had me skimming insects off the top of small summit ridge lochans to drink from. Finally steeply off the W edge of the Five Sisters and stuck out my thumb and fortunately someone stopped and relieved my tired legs to get a lift back to my Citroen Xantia. 13 new Munros in 2 days. | vegibagger | 17/05/1999 |
Last summit of the day then down to cafe at Morvich. Drew the short straw and had to thumb a lift up Glen Shiel for the eight miles back to the car! | Aye Jimmy | 26/07/1996 |

Five Sisters of Kintail, Sgurr na Moraich, Beinn Bhuidhe, Sgurr nan Saighead, Sgurr Fhuaran, Sgurr na Carnach, Sgurr na Ciste Duibhe, Coirein nan Spainteach. With Steve. I took a photo of Steve on Sgurr na Ciste Duibe and put his camera down. We did not realise until it too far to go back. | Victor | 19/08/1993 |
Ascended after walking the ridge from Bealach an Lapain. | JohnW | 16/08/1993 |
An epic solo jaunt over the Five Sisters & the North Shiel ridge starting from the outdoor centre near Morvich. Fairly brutal ascent up the N flank of Sgurr na Moraich on an already unseasonably warm day. Over the Five Sisters more easily. Decided to continue along the ridge & got as far as Aonach Mheadhoin. Continued on to Ciste Dhubh & then descended carefully NW as dusk approached to pick up the good path heading W. Eventually reached the car about 2 hours after sunset & decided to crash in the back. Fairly uncomfortable night & woken next morning by the bleating of sheep surrounding the car! | NotReallyABagger | 28/03/1991 |

PG SB. Glen Shiel (battle site) over The Five Sisters from Sgurr nan Spainteach to Sgurr na Moraich. A fine wintery outing. | Vin | 16/04/1984 |
West to East 'Sisters' with Tony from our camp at Shiel Bridge then I continued to add the Brothers to give a long day - short on water - sucking on glacier mints until pounced on high snow melt (in July) Hazy but clear tops with rumblings of thunderstorm near end - ran down to road in 30 mins, and third car gave me a 8 mile lift back. My log records hell of a long climb from sea level up rough terrain once path ran out to this first peak. | Chris Pearson | 25/07/1983 |
lift to Cluanie from Ratagan. Up from rd to Sgurr an Fhuarail on 3 Bros and 5 Sisters walk. 6 hours from Cluanie to Invershiel. Misty, and latterly stony underfoot, but otherwise benign. solo. | niallp | 01/07/1983 |
