From Achriabhach, Glen Nevis, followed Munro book route to top of wood then along fence and NE ridge to Mullach nan Coirean summit. Weather OK but windy & cold; moderated later. Cont over SE and then E top (latter, promoted 2020 was my last one!). On to quartzite of Stob Ban - wonderful cliffs. Down E ridge to lochan and up good stalker's track to Stob C a'Mhail and start of Devil's Ridge. Airily along this to Sgurr a'Mhaim. Walked down with builder from Ft William out to get fit. Parked in the Lower Falls car park near Achriabhach. I passed through a gate nearer to Achriabhach than the car park and followed a path south, somewhat faint and muddy initially, up the hillside. Higher up the path became more defined and joined the N ridge of Stob Ban. At an altitude of about 850m there is a steep tower. The scramble up it was straightforward as there was not much snow on it. On the final slopes to Stob Ban there were snowfields which were ascended although they could have to some extent been avoided. From the summit of Stob Ban I then traversed all tops to reach the summit of Mullach nan Coirean.pwbellarby06/04/2000

a long day and one I call 'Pride comes before a fall' First of a two an a great half week trip. week 1 with CRMC in Gairlochy, week 2 in Ullapool in rented Dolphin House and four days in leverburgh with Roddy Coles southern tip of Harris. With Alison Fleetwood Helen Morton and Gill Brooke-Taylor, Mullach na Coirean and into mist, I'd done this ridge before in 1992. After Mullach Nan Coirean SE top the three women stop to consult their map and compass as I boldly say, 'This is the way' as I head off down the slope in the cloud towards the direction of what I think is the next col on the ridge. I turn round to find that the they aren't following me and are still checking the map and are gently fairly sure that my 'boldly go' route wasn't right. Having retraced back and checked with them I realise my 'bold no compass march on' was going to take me straight down SE to the west highland way!! Easter solo round of the W Mamores. Usual starting point in Glen Nevis for Mullach nan Coirean & avoided getting blown off it this time. Round corrie edge bagging the tops & up to Stob Ban. Continued to Sgurr an Iubhair, out & back to Sgurr a Mhaim without difficulty & then on to Am Bodach, Stob Coire a Chairn, An Garbhanach, An Gearanach. Dropped into Glen Nevis on the usual path, across the wire bridge & a stroll back down the glen.NotReallyABagger30/03/1991

Initially with a friend. From Glen Nevis we walked along forest tracks, then rough path beside Allt a’ Choire Riabhaich to reach the summit of Mullach nan Coirean and then the SE top. My friend left me here to ascend other things. I continued alone to Stob Ban, Sgurr an Iubhair, Stob a’ Choire Mhail, and Sgurr a’ Mhaim. On the descent I found a path going well up Glen Nevis. I descended over steep ground to the bridge over the burn at NN158684. I crossed the bridge and went along the road to the car. Very warm and sunny, clear.pwbellarby12/05/1985
