A 3-day bivibag round from junction of Beinn Airigh Charr path and access track. DAY 2: Woke up in bivi bag in the cloud which was to prove a problem for much of day.Started straight up Beinn Lair(C) which apart from a momentary doubt at a very well cairned false top was straightforward. Out into the sun on summit and good views of a temperature inversion. Did not last. Back into cloud and had real problems locating Sgurr Dubh(Gt); and its SE top (Ct); but managed both in the end at the expense of extra time and effort. Decided to skip Meall Damh and leave for another day from the East Bivied in bealach before it. | dickscroop | 29/06/2021 |

Second day of two day expedition from Poolewe to Incheril. With Rhona Fraser and George Gilpin. From Bealach Mhèinnidh we ascended Beinn Lair. We passed over Sgurr Dubh and to the west of two lochans and the next top, to avoid a steep and craggy descent, We found a good contouring line north of Loch Garbhaig and west of Meall Daimh to climb steeply, but easily to the summit ridge of Slioch. | pwbellarby | 07/08/1994 |
