Dropped off with Xan at SH 637494 for 12km walk to the PYG Hotel. Paths most of the way and only patchily boggy. Visited Moel Meirch, Cerrig Cochion, Carnedd y Cribau and Clogwyn Bwlch-y-maen. Sunny but chilly wind.Herbert Anchovy28/10/2019
Parked at 65705 52717 in the small layby, went up the FP through the woods then bracken to the open hillside, turned left more or less along the fence line to Carnedd y Cribiau, continued to Clogwyn Bwlch y Maen, retraced steps and continued south to Cerrig Cochion and then back to the car. Very hot day and, although paths more or less the whole way, slow going. 3 hours 40 mins for 7.57 miles.clivevilla28/06/2019

A cracking November day with blue skies throughout. A470 car park to Iwerrdon, Allt-Fawr, Moel Druman, Ysgafell Wen, Yr Arddu, Moel Meirch, Cerrig Cochion, Carnedd y Cribau, Clogwyn Bwlch-y-maen, Moel Siabod, then through the forest to Dolwyddelan. Takes about 7.5 hrs in total, with terrific views to Snowden, then Tryfan and the Carnedds.summitter17/11/2018

With Minnie. From layby on A498, 657 527, up steep but easy to follow path to Bwlch y Rhediad, then path/scrambly bits to eventual top of Carnedd y Cribau, great views. easy path down then up onto Clogwyn Bwlch-y-maen then path down across grassland to Pen-y-Gwyrd, good track down Nant Cynnyd, then minor road & steep path back to layby. warm with light breeze, some cloud, even boggy bits were dry.apricorum10/07/2018
Start ~ Pen y Gwryd Hotel. Cloudy afternoon with some sun, the previous heavy rain made the hill a vertical bog though, no other ascents logged this year and i can see why! Summit and views were good. Best ascended from the lakes below. With Wombourne.steve hudson20/06/2018
Started at Pen y Gwryd and climbed Craig Goch then returned to road near the PG then straight up horrible bog which seemed to go all the way to the summit. The rain stopped and had some sun. Good views. With SH.wombourne20/06/2018

From the main road above Hafod Rhisgl up right of way to col then up to Moel Meirch (path from south to summit). From there to stile a little to south and on round to Yr Arddu on easy ground. Followed ridge for about half a mile then descended directly to footbridge over tussock grass. Followed right of way for a while before cutting up to ridge of Carnedd y Cribau and on to summit. Returned by fence line and right of way to car. Very hot for April - great views.SS06/04/2015

Dolwyddelan- Daear Ddu- Moel Siabod then down its W ridge, up the N side of this considerable lump! This made a satisfying and interesting high level walk. Returned to Dolwyddelan via Bwlch y Rhediad. Cloud inversion to SW. Still, cold air confounded a buzzard's attempt to find any thermals. First ascent was on way to Moel Meirch, 15/1/2000, on an even colder day.pwheeler18/02/2001
Solo bagging run up from Dolwydden - rough, tough and swamps-heavy going to ridge. Sun in eyes. Beautiful clear and mild (bare top at one point in December)Chris Pearson14/12/1997
