The Creigiau Gleision horseshoe from the car park at Llyn Crafnant. | Alan Caine | 27/08/2022 |
A big day from parking West of Moel Eilio at 73166 66302, first a long stretch of Two and half hours to reach Craig Wen via the path beside Llyn Cowlyd reservoir retracing my steps back to the dam, onto Cefn Cyfarwydd and returning to the dam finally up to the 482 point on the Moel Eilio ridge, the ridge at this time of year was deep heather and really awfull so much so after reaching the summit of Moel Eilio I descended by dropping of the west side to avoid it and reach the track around Afon Porth Llwyd back to the car. Just over Seventeen miles in Eight hours twenty. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 21/08/2022 |

5 summits from Crafnant with Rufus. Parked in NRW car park and followed yellow footpath to end of the llyn. ROW from
Blaen y Nant to E of Crimpiau then path to summit just beyond wall. Rough tracks leading over Craig Wen, Craiglwyn and both tops of Creigiau Gleision. Rough track E to fence then over stile by huge blanket bog to follow track S along old fence posts into forest. Simple forest paths and tracks back to Llyn Crafnant. Boggier and rockier than I expected but a cool perspective of Ogwen. | jacobrichmond | 24/08/2020 |

12 mile walk from Capel Curig starting in sunshine, followed road then up boggy path to water channel, followed water channel to foot of Y Braich ridge and climbed to Pen Yr Helgi Du, the weather was still good by this time but the Glyders went into cloud, descended and steeply ascended onto Pen Llithrig Y Wrach, descended to end of reservoir and ascended pathless slopes onto Creigiau Gleison, by this time the weather had took a turn for the worst, we nearly went into cloud. Followed rough path onto Craiglwyn, then climbed up Craig Wen and Crimpiau, by this time every hill we had done earlier went into cloud, descended to Capel Curig. Great but strenuous walk, if we had started an hour later all the walk would have probably been in cloud! | DanTrig | 09/04/2017 |
