Parked in village. Walked up Waterfall St to second ROW leading to bridleway, then open access land to summit.PeteF02/01/2023
Parked the car on a grass square next to the stream 11862 30634 on the left hand fork in the minor road in between Moel Hen fache and Mynydd Mawr, following a bridle way first heading west then turning south to reach the base of Moel Hen fache from here it's only a couple of fields to the summit, retracing my steps back to the minor road turning right, after the fork in the road I followed the ROW over the stream on a footbridge to reach the bridle way west of Mynydd Mawr (the ROW seams to end just short so had to nip through Pen y Graig quickly) a couple of fields with gate leads up hill to the trig on Mynydd Mawr after regaining the Bridle way I headed due North tho reach minor roads walking past an outdoor centre to reach the car.Ten mile in Four hours.WAYNE ROWLETT30/10/2022

from Llanrhaedr ym mochnant waterfall street to first row 12188 26316 ROW sign poat on left side then up past private house farmland then bridleway to track start 10531 27824 which goes nearly all way 7.7 ks 356 up 2hrs 5 minsunderhill23/09/2021
3/3 Dewey Day. Moel Hen-fache from the south. Parking is really difficult, just fitted the car onto the verge at the sharp bend below Ty-cerrig, but half blocked a little used gate. West along the road then up bridleway to the point where the really useful sheeptrack slants back from it. The sheep track is a neat way through what would otherwise be a real tangle of bracken. It leads right out onto the grassy fell top, from where a short walk gets one to the grassy knoll at the summit. Unfortunately a driving drizzle prevented what I am sure would have been a splendid view of the Berwyns from the summit. A round trip of 4km with 280m of ascent in just an hour. Parked at sharp corner at Tan-y-ffordd Ochar. ROW past Tyn-y- celyn then through gate on right. Steeply up through (dead) bracken to grass above. Visited summit and other knolls.PGCE03/02/2021
HP at outcrop on ridge, extensive view but today murky, wet and blustery. Dogs friendly in farm to SE at road/ fp junction, roadside parking.Denise 04/08/2020
Park at Tan-y-ffordd Ochar then foot path up to bridleway which we follow up onto the steep access land. Track back E ascends hillside becoming path to pasture summit.RichardM04/08/2020
From Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant. Visited the other knolls as well as official summit.RobertP14/04/2019
Having completed Nuttall's walk 7.5 in the early afternoon I decided I had time to return to do the two summits of Godor which we missed off the Berwyn Horseshoe walk in 2015 due to deep snow. While eating my tea near the top of Godor in the early evening I decided I had time to walk out to the Dodd Moel Hen-fache.Herbert Anchovy23/06/2018
Parked at SJ 0997.2790, walked E short way then steep track to R of stream to emerge from wood. Continued to E of Foel-llyn up sheepy fields to top.Aye Jimmy02/06/2018
Parked just down from the church in Llanarmon Mynydd-Mawr and followed the track upwards to just past where the edge of the plantation is. Followed the fence uphill, quite steep for the whole way. Crossed a fence and then a further fence, barbed wire top strand this one. Walked to top. Dropped down to Pen-y-graig then Tyn-y-fron. Out to road and S down it to where a footpath goes off to Carreg-ddu. Missed it and came up to Carreg-ddu from the S. Difficult at farm. Ankle deep in liquid manure. Up track to N of Carnedd-y-forwyn. SW to Moel Hen-fache. Down S to track bordering Pen-y-bryn Hall and out to road at Tyn-y-celyn Ochr. Followed road to Penfforddwen then field paths and footbridge to Pen-yn-glyn and back to Llanarmon Mynydd-Mawr.MikeM06/09/2016
Parked on market square in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant - NW up minor road for about 1km & then PRW to Tyn-y-celyn Ochr - Along bridleway to just before gate at 104281 - Sheep trod up through bracken & then trods across tussock grass to summit knoll. (S)gerrybowes16/06/2016
Drove up towards Carreg Ddu and parked 100m before farm. Space next to a dead vauxhall astra. Through edge of farmyard and up decent track with 1 switchback before reaching the r.o.w. followed this further into the hills. Derelict farm carnedd y forwyn looks a sorry state. There is a lot of discarded machinery from the farm up actualy. A shame. Wind really biting higher up. Grassy slopes give way to rough grass and moss. Summit bump is in open access. The similarily heighted other top gives superb views out into England. A proper wild view back the other way. Caught in a blizzard before descent -yes..in april. Descent pretty direct to car. Steep but ok. Mynydd Mawr looks a brute from here.stig_nest26/04/2016
Parked to the west squeezed against the hedge and went up row at right hand side of a stream before heading off towards the summit.clivevilla23/12/2015

Parked in the main car park in the delightful village of Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant (good pub) at SJ 12536 26070 - plenty of parking. Took lane north up towards waterfall, failing to find the beginning either of the RoWs that head north from this lane. At lane junction turned right, and then joined bridleway running along the western flank of the hill. Followed this steeply up to its highest point near a gate at SJ 10375 28073, then bracken-thrashed using sheeptracks steeply up slope to wide grassy summit plateau and then easily to summit. Fine views of the High Berwynion. To descend I headed NW to a gate. No bracken on other side, and descended easily back to gate, returning to village by my outward route. A fine hill.Man of Kernow119/07/2014

Parking tricky, finally parked at junction 1105 2729. Footpath from there not found so walked east to the beginning of the track and followed it until just before a gate after all trees finish. Then fairly straight to the top.destaylor15/05/2014
From village centre up ROW and CROW ground to summit.SS05/05/2014
