A further stop to take on food before we pushed on to the longer traverse to Geall Charn. We gave some thought on summit to extending our day to include Carn Dearg, sense prevailed we descended by threading Coire a Carra Bhig, steep descent on grass and along beside Uisge Labhair to bikes which we pushed and scooted to the bridge and cycled along the north side of the loch a smoother ride in ight rain. Relentless pressure to keep going sapped the last energy we had. A relief to have the bikes to cover the ground. We got back around 7.30 feeling that we deserved a carbohydrate meal - meatballs and rice washed down with tea and highland water. Mellowness descended as the evening wore on. TheHostel was full of Northern Irish discussants, a couple of Melburnian students, a traveler walking from North Wales who received a food parcel to support him. | david.walker40 | 22/04/2012 |
