With RH n conjunction with Bein Eibhinn, Aonach Beag. A further stop to take on food before we pushed on to the longer traverse to Geall Charn. We gave some thought on summit to extending our day to include Carn Dearg, sense prevailed we descended by threading Coire a Carra Bhig, steep descent on grass and along beside Uisge Labhair to bikes which we pushed and scooted to the bridge and cycled along the north side of the loch a smoother ride in ight rain. Relentless pressure to keep going sapped the last energy we had. A relief to have the bikes to cover the ground. We got back around 7.30 feeling that we deserved a carbohydrate meal - meatballs and rice washed down with tea and highland water. Mellowness descended as the evening wore on. TheHostel was full of Northern Irish discussants, a couple of Melburnian students, a traveler walking from North Wales who received a food parcel to support him.david.walker4022/04/2012

with Gill Brooke-Taylor I camped just west of Culra on first night before being driven into the bothy for second night by midges. Gill camped about 2-300m north of the bothy. Up Sgor Iutharn, on toe Geal Charn, Aonach Beag, Round to Beinn Eibhinn and retreat NE along the ridge and over Diollaid a'Chairn to Carn Dearg and back to Culra. new I'd prob regret not going out W & SW to the Murdo and MT and I do, but at the time just didn't feel energy to make the effort espec as Gill wasn't bothered.vegibagger28/08/2000

Cairngorm Club weekend meet at Loch Ossian YH. With several other members. We walked along the track on the south side of Loch Ossian and then along the path to Bealach Dubh and some way beyond. We climbed up Lancelot Edge to Sgor Iutharn, then traversed Geal-chàrn, Aonach Beag, Beinn Eibhinn and descended to the outward path over Meall Glas Choire. We returned to Loch Ossian YH via outward route. Weather good.pwbellarby05/05/1990
During a long weekend at Culra with various work colleagues. From Culra via the Lancet Edge to a misty Sgor Iutharn. Wandered about in the mist to Geal Charn & then on to Aonach Beag & Beinn Eibhinn. Still no view. Back to col between Eibhinn & Aonach Beag where the mist had lifted. Carefully down into the corrie & worked around the slope to join the path leading back over the Bealach Dubh back to Culra.NotReallyABagger05/05/1990

With a friend. We walked from Loch Ossian YH along the south side of Loch Ossian (noisy herons nesting in trees on island). Then along the Uisge Labhair path. At the top of Bealach Dubh we took to the slopes NE to Sgor Iutharn. We followed a contouring shelf with little lochs to Diollaid a' Chairn. We went on to Carn Dearg, back to Diollaid a' Chairn and on to Geal-Charn, Aonach Beag, Beinn Eibhinn, (actually 2 tops; it looks as though the 1974 Ed top is the SE one whilst the 1980 Ed top is NW), Mullach Coire nan Nead, and Meall Ghlas Choire. Back to the YH. A superb day. Fine with light breezes and not too hot.pwbellarby07/07/1984
