HP by trig in small boggy grassy clearing just set back from track. Small path on west side avoids windfall . From Ynyscorrwg and onto Crugyrafan on good forest tracks.Denise 18/02/2024
Levelish summit in grassy clearing in forest. Moss, bilberry and a little heather. Only a short way N of the track and narrowly out of the windfall trees. Misty, mild. Trig pillar at high point.RichardM18/02/2024

From the hairpin. Good use of mountain bikes. Summit well tucked away. Then on to Mynydd Ynyscorrwg, another reclusive. With Jemma whose gears weren't working.Campbell Singer20/08/2020
From the hairpin. Bike not well. Summit tucked away in small clearing in the forest. Be careful with forest navigation.Jemma Singer20/08/2020
From A4107 summit/hairpin for an out and back of Mynydd Ynyscorrwg and Blaengwynfi.rhalstead02/08/2020
2/7 Dewey day. From Blaengwynfi following the zig zag forest road to the mast, then further forest roads to Mynydd Ynyscrrwg, then around the head of Cwm Gwynfi using easy road past turbines before branching off to the right to the Mynydd Blaengwynfi trig just off the track on the right. Retracing the route back to the main forest road and south east to SS 918 962 from where the edge of the forest is followed to the broken trig of Twyn Crugyrafan. A slight descent to cross the A4107 at the summit then up access road to the masts at Werfa, behind which the summit trig hides. Then following small tracks over the grassy top of Werfa west down to the col, where the new wind farm road is joined up the hill before branching off to the trig at the summit of Mynydd Caerau. Finally back to the col and then easy traverse of the grassy pasture heading north along the bridleway until a really awkward and very steep descent without track has to be negotiated down into Abergwynfi, and then througsilveracorn_alan26/07/2020

Parking in Blaegwynfi and accessing the forest by way of the track at top of Upton Street. Then used previous visitors useful advice and paths seen on Google to reach trig point which is just visible from the track. Continued east, then north, then west through windfarm to next target.Father Ted10/04/2019
Same as Gerry, followed tracks and then through trees to trig in clearing. On to Mynyyd YnyscorrwgPeterD09/09/2018
Roadside parking near top of Upton Street in Blaengwynfi at 892965 - Along path to join forest track - As MikeM, followed forest tracks that take you to within 35yd of trig point which lies in clearing. Contined to Mynydd Ynyscorrwg. (S)gerrybowes02/02/2018
Mynydd Ynyscorrwg and Mynydd Blaengwynfi more or less as marktrengrove. 6.72 miles. Blaengwynfi is a depressing little town.clivevilla25/08/2017
From Mynydd Ynyscorrwg. Rejoined the overgrown higher track, taking it east to rejoin the forest road. Followed this east round the head of Cwm Gwynfi, and then south. Diverted onto a lesser track at SS 90727 97476, following it all the way to very close to the summit - in a clearing just off he track. Continued to Twyn Crugyrafan. Solo.Man of Kernow117/06/2017
From Caroline Terrace, Abergwynfi, on 6 mile circular walk to take in Mynydd Ynyscorrwg also. HP by trig pillar at clearing in conifer plantation. Long section of wind farm access roads between the 2 hills.jonglew01/02/2017
Started in Upton Street, Blaegwynfi and followed track up into forest. Followed track to SS 89982 96953 and turned left. Again followed track. Quite a mess in places with bike tracks cutting the track up. Turned right at SS 89965 97370 and followed track to Mynydd Blaengwynfi. Reversed track for a short distance and then followed a series of paths and tracks to Twyn Crugyrafan. Descended to road and then up to top of Werfa. Crossed moor and climbed up to top of Mynydd Caerau. Steep at start of climb up. Walked across moors back to Blaengwynfi. Good walk. Mainly on tracks and paths but badly cut up in places by the boys on bikes.MikeM05/05/2016
Parked on A4107 as SS917957 and follow forestry tracks to trig point.Ramblingpaul19/04/2016
Start ~ 888967, Blaengwynfi village. Up Upton St. to forest tracks and on to Mynydd Blaengwynfi summit. Continued North then west on new tracks to Mynydd Ynyscorrwg. The old tracks here are getting very over grown. Descended to phone mast then the long way to village. With wombourne.steve hudson07/09/2015
From GR 888967. With SH.wombourne07/09/2015
From Blaengwynfi up path to forest track (note the upper one isn’t obvious from top of path). Then on over tracks and paths to trig point (keep your eyes peeled – screened by trees). Round forestry tracks past a wind turbine base and on up past old water tank to summit. Made mistake of trying to drop from mast to village on old track (don’t). Came down to west on tracks in the end.SS15/03/2015
5/5 Last of long day, follow tracks up from the village of Blaengwynfi, trig is to left of track on slightly elevated fieldFergalh08/02/2015

Quiet solo walk up from Treherbert via the lovely Pen-pych waterfalls and Carn-y-Wiwer. The summit is actually a bronze age cairn (not marked as such on the OS map) with a trig pillar in a clearing on its top.thesweetcheat08/06/2013
