With M. Round from Fersit. Blustery but wonderfully sunny later on.douglas_easton29/07/2020
Snow from about 300m, becoming deeper and with icy patches, clear views from the summit of Stob Coire Sgriodain with cloud swirling at times. As we crossed to Chno Dearg the cloud closed in completely. Powder snow for the long gradual descent north, views across the valley. Great day. John M and Gillian, CSSC.Ellie's Hills25/02/2020

Lovely weather. Staying at Tulloch Bunkhouse. Got train to Corrour in the morning and walked back. Managed to cock up a bit and visit Meall Garbh twice.banksey21/11/2014
Lots of up & down and finding a path thru a rocky top, this felt more of a munro than Chno Dearg. What I though from a distance to be patches of snow were large patches of white quartz, I loved the white cairn on the way to the summit. Fantastic day for a hike, great views all around, I managed to decide which one was Ben Nevis but not sure about all the other far away hills. Could not have hoped for better weather Now its find a descent route down thru the rocky stuff & out to Tulloch Station A walk through from Loch Ossian youth hostel taking in 2 munros to Tulloch Station. Train back to Corrour. Saw evidence of Ptarmigan but did not see any birds. Only wildlife I saw 2 x hairy ubit (caterpillar) 2 x ravens pecked pecking at the ground near where I was having lunchLizzieG14/10/2014

With David. From Chno Dearg. Returned to bikes and cycled back to Loch Ossian Youth Hostel to catch trian back to Tyndrum. Night at hotel off Pass of Brander.robhenderson23/04/2012
From Chno Dearg wth RH we traversed broken ground in difting mist a sense of disorder and seemless endless effort prevailed until the mist utimately cleared revealing that although it seemed a big hill it was close and achievable. A steep final ascent brought us to clear views to Loch Trieg the railway line and distant views to Grey Corries Ben Nevis and south to Glen Coe Hills. Wore Rab Jacket to good effect on summit, snug as a bug silver anniversary present thanks. We returned the way we had come glissading the snow slope was pleasant and returning to bikes with the need to catch the train always in mind. Got back to hostel for tea and a discussion with a professional American dog sitter, whose plan to meet a friend was fraught with things he was not going to do! Cycled up to Corrour station and waited for train. Throwing rubbish in bin with Robs Swiss Army knife! Who threw it, me or him? Train to Tyndrum with spectacular views. Car undamaged and a brisk journey seeking pdavid.walker4023/04/2012
