From the cattle grid along by the fence. Some peaty ravines.NormanW06/09/2021
Unappealling as fence recedes to infinity across trackless moor from cattle grid and no sign of Trig Pt. Took a gamble that 4x4 track starting 400m S at pt 519 might lead easily to top, but no; returned back along fence line. Have faith, stick with it and follow the fence, there's a bit of a path at times and the Trig is just beyond the horizon.Isbjorn22/07/2021
From Blea Barf. Slightly ridgy from Tarn Currack, which was nice. Very in it and feels unfrequented.Wycombe Wanderer19/06/2021
From Pickerston Ridge over boggy terrain, across road and along fence line to trig, then back to Scabba Wath campsite along delightful tracks to mee rest of group.Denise 23/05/2021

In the dark - clear sky - loads of stars - the fence from the high point of the road to the East takes you across The Fleak - some large peat groughs, and directly to the summitwychwood18/01/2020

Bench mark on boundary stone at parking spot. If you are into that sort of thing. Apart from having three names & a trig, the hill doesn't have lot to recommend it.ngthack05/01/2019

From good parking just south of the cattle grid. Just over 35 minute return by following the fence to the trig point. Reasonable going underfoot. With GB and Marli. Weather closing in!bolton02/08/2017
Approach from W of Satron, via Blea Barf - return via Summer Lodge Tarn. Good views - lots of hills to see & identify.ger03/06/2017
KJF Stroll along S side of newish boundary fence from road summit to East to minimise disruption to ground nesting birds (saw one family of grouse). Plenty of damp groughs to cross but the dry conditions made it relatively easy and detours didn't need to be huge. Summit pretty bleak (apart from fence) with gulls on nearby tarn and a view of Semerwater S.crazy01/06/2017

Parked at the cattle grid on the road between Askrigg and Low Whita, then followed fence to summit before heading over to Blea Barf. Summer Lodge Tarn is a great lunch spot, loads of birds to watch. We headed down to the track close to Summer lodge before heading back up to the road. Clear day, walked with Graham and Ruben.karencooke27/07/2013
