After Beinn a Chroin before descending Coir Earb glen NW back to car. Lovely sunny spot to laze. With R&G WalkerDenise 31/05/2023
Parked in the large layby on A82 to the N. Followed the River Falloch track and picked up the path by the first gate up onto the ridge to Sron Gharbh, Twistin Hill, An Caisteal and Beinn a Chroin W, main & E Tops. Descent via path on N ridge to the W of the river to initial track. Another hot sunny day and a relaxing walk with Gillian and Denise.richard6931/05/2023
From Beinn a Chroin after lunch. Descent via ridge path into Coire Earb decent all the way though a little wet until the reservoir track is met.stig_nest29/08/2022

Wintery walk around the 5 munros with all of the tops that were in the way. From the car park south of Crianlarich on the A82. Stunning day with lots of snow and sunshine. 26 km in 10 hrs taking in Sron Garbh, Twistin Hill, An Caisteal, Ben Chabhair, Beinn a'Chroin west top, Beinn a'Chroin, Beinn a'Chroin East Top, Meall Dhamh.Nicky C05/12/2021

Thought I had visited East top in 2/11/80 and 4/09/88 when it was Munro. Now suspect that I mistook cairn on Middle top for East top. Middle top was not even listed in Munro tables in 1980 and 1988. No GPS in these days.russell6118/06/2021

An Caisteal and Beinn A'Chroin with Amy. A longer, harder day than expected,killiedaft29/08/2020
From Glen Falloch up Sron Gharbh then Twistin Hill on to An Caisteal summit. After a break and amazing views it was down to Beinn a' Chroin and the tasty scramble up to the west top, then summit, then east top for a longer break and more photos. Back down Beinn a' Chroin's north ridge into Coire Earb for a boggy return to the track then car park. Two brilliant Munros with superb views of big hills all around!Chris Mac06/07/2019
6/6 Sron Gharb, Twistin Hill, An Caisteal, Beinn a Chroin West Top, Beinn a Chroin and Beinn a Chroin East Top. Perfect Munro bagging day on the way home from Harris. Nice to walk on a path, if a bit squidgy in the valley home.nickywood122/06/2019
From lay-by on A82, southwest of Crianlarich (NN 36852 23841). Under railway, followed surfaced track to 2nd gate then ascended Sron Gharbh; clear grassy path, occasionally boggy. Along the ridge past Twistin Hill to ascend An Caisteal. Steep descent to Bealach Buidhe followed by a steep ascent to the west top of Beinn a' Chroin involving a couple of awkward scrambles. Onwards to the Munro summit and east top before a straightforward descent down the north ridge to then follow the course of the River Falloch. Very boggy in parts before reaching the surfaced track.david23020103/05/2019

with Alan Dawson, though much more slowly behind him as he forged ahead to do various surveys. First to the SE sub Sim, then up to the East top, former Munro summit, then to the two highest tops on the west ridge, NE and SW, only 80m apart and confirmed that the SW top with no marker at all is the highest point and the NE top in a 940m contour ring with a cairn up till this day, right next to the path isn't the summit but is about half metre lower. After going down to the col between it and An Caisteal we go to the other sub Sim SW top where I lie with my knees up, with phone in a side leg pocket with inefective velcro fastners for ten mins while Alan surveys much to my eventual consternation 90 mins on, as I find at the bottom at the track that my phone is missing. Certain that I know exactly where it is and resign myself to climbing again next day, referendum day.vegibagger17/09/2014

With two friends. After ascending Cruach Ardrain (and for two of us Beinn Tulaichean) we continued to Beinn a’ Chroin and its West Top*. I continued a little further to the end of the ridge where there are points nearly equal in height to the West Top, although I think slightly lower. We ascended An Caisteal after which my friends descended. I continued to Beinn Chabhair and followed a path along the NW ridge, descending to Derrydaroch. The weather was good. It darkened in the middle of the day, but then improved. *Note added 2015. This is the West Top as in Munro’s Tables of 1990 although the grid reference is not entirely correct. This top is now the Munro summit. The West Top appellation has now been applied to one of the tops further west, which I visited.pwbellarby06/06/1993

My two friends descended via Coire Earb whilst I returned over the west Top and descended via Coire a’ Chuilinn to reach the car. It was very hot and sunny. * Note added 2020: In 2012 the summit of the Munro was relocated to NN38751856 from the East Top referred to above. Beinn a’ Chroin West Top at NN38591854 remains a Munro Top. We are likely in 1985 to have gone over, or at least very close, to both the West Top and the Munro summit as currently defined.pwbellarby02/06/1985
