4th of 8 Tumps picked up on a drive from Kilnhurst to Keswick. | Mark Jackson | 02/08/2022 |
One for the armchair hill bagger. Park your car 2 minutes from the summit. From car to trig point your Costa will still be hot. The Boo and I went on the path down to Aygill force. | Alphaville199 | 11/06/2022 |
En-route to Tan Hill Inn | PeteF | 13/03/2022 |

Parked at track entrance. Quick up and down, through quarry. Fine vantage point. Final Tees Bay watershed hill. | Campbell Singer | 10/08/2021 |
1/2 Parked beside the sheep enclosures and very quick visit to this summit, then over the road to the Bridleway and followed this to the shooting lodge, then used various quad bike tracks up past shooting butts to Brownber Head (probably better not done in total mist like we did, but still perfectly safe and doable). | nickywood1 | 26/06/2021 |
I parked by the sheep pens. A great little hill made even better by the bleak weather with the wind and rain lashing across the open expanse of moorland that surrounds it. Even the sheep didn't fancy being out in it until I walked past and made them panic and run away from a snug little shelter behind a crag. They never learn, but neither do I! | thenomad | 25/05/2021 |
Parked in the beginning of the obvious track. | clivevilla | 06/05/2021 |
With Judy, nice little top. Going slowly with bad ankle: third tump of the day. Parked just in front/right of the barrier which was open. Luckily when farmer came down the track with tractor and big trailer he was able to squeeze past. | GordonAdshead | 24/04/2021 |
Short walk from road up track. Cold clear night - moonlit so no head torch needed | wychwood | 24/12/2020 |
With Sue High Greygritts and Black Scarr then drive round to Long Rigg. Nice trio to fill afternoon. | Frank | 05/08/2020 |
Very easy bag from the sheep pens at NY 877 085. Despite close proximity to the road, there is a real feeling of wilderness at the summit. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 22/03/2020 |

Straight up from the road - 10 minutes there and back. Odd thing is I know I've done this one before - just can't work out when. | Crib Goch | 03/10/2015 |
A walk taking in Mouldy Mea, High Greygrits and Great Knipe. Hard moorland walking with one or two short steep bits. Parked at NY 87423 12792. Crossed the stream by a bridge and followed the old railway to a hut. Up onto moor to Moudy Mea from here. Next stop High Greygrits and trig. Near the trig picked up a track and followed to just past a ford, then turned left onto moor to Roman signal station. Next was A66, really exciting to get across and wall at the other side was quite smooth. Back to moorland to Great Knipe. Down to road and back to car. Lots of barbed wire around. | MikeM | 06/09/2015 |
Obvious route from the roadside, several suitable parking places. | JohnStoneham | 02/08/2015 |
