7 hr circular walk and non-stop chat from Whaley Bridge with L, & John & Becks. 6 months worth of 'life during Covid' catching up to do. J one of the few people just starting a new job - H&S lead for Network Rail - so special shared interest in viewing Toddbrook Dam - still in a sorry state since almost collapsing in summer 2019 - when the town was evacuated. Lovely grassy and sunny ridge walk up over Taxal Edge (a double sub four!) and on via climber busy Windgather Rocks where 'The tasty grades and abundance of holds on most routes mean that most people will be able to climb something here no matter how tall, short, young, old or unfit they are'(uk climbing). | Chris Pearson | 20/06/2020 |
