Started from New Dungeon Ghyll v Red Tarn and down the band. Took around 4 hours. Great weather apart from hurricane strength winds on the top. Car parking £7 - coins only but don't try and use new pounds.Cicatrice05/05/2017
Another trip to the Lakes, this time with eyes on some of the southern central fells. Bethany and I had been recommended Crinkle Crags by an Uncle for a decent fells, good veiws and recent footfall - he wasnt' wrong, we saw maybe 3 other groups in total during the day. It was an almost overcast day, but warm enough. Starting from Great Langdale, we took the path up along Owendale Beck, with a stop by a fairy pool, and a lie down on the grass towards the top. Up top was chilly, with some fun small scrambles, after bagging the Shelter crags and all 5 Crinkles, we decended down the over Great Knott, and back to Oxendale west of Pike O'Blisco. 5hrs 30mins: 11.1km; 888mByronHaywood29/04/2017
Climbed solo. Old Dungeon Ghyll - Wall End - Pike O' Blisco - Red Tarn - Cold Pike (plus West and Far West tops) - Great Knott - Crinkle Crags (South Top, Long Top, 4th and 5th Crinkles) - Shelter Crags (plus North Top) - Three Tarns - The Band - Stool End - Old Dungeon Ghyll. 6 hours. Dry Weather. Mostly sunny but some cloud and mist patches. Getting colder later. Had major problem with new boots pinching toenail ... coming down the Band very slow and painful!jamessteel10010/04/2017

Solo. Cloudy so nothing to see. Nice top and cairns to direct you down slightly to the west (travelling S-N). Always a static silent friend who helps all who ask.Statto22/02/2017
A glorious sunny day to walk from Great Langdale campsite up to Crinkle Crags via Oxendale, Whorneyside Force, Hell Gill and Three Tarns returning via Red Tarn and the Brownie Gill path. Smoky, Tony and I completed the walk; several others who started with us dropped out by Three Tarns. Great views of the Sca Fells before the mist closed in along the ridge (it lifted by Red Tarn on the way down).Skip21/01/2017

Great Knott, all 5 Crinkle Crags, both Shelter Crags, Bowfell and Bowfell North Top, Esk Pike, Rossett Pike Left the car on the one patch of road in Langdale where there were no police signs and walked up Oxendale to Great Knott and then to the Crinkle Crags and Shelter Crags. It was windy today but Shelter Crags lived up to their name and there were places in the lee of the wind to have lunch. Down and up to Bow Fell and then down and up to Esk Pike. Saw a couple of Spitfires flying around. Down to Esk Hause and then took the main path back down to Langdale taking in Rossett Pike on the way.tsharp04/05/2016
