From Wha House for a round of Silverybield Crag, High Scarth, Pen, Pike de Bield, High Gait Crags, Scar Lathing and Throstlehow Crag. | rhalstead | 23/07/2021 |
Followed Birkett's route from top of Hard Knott Pass over Border End, Hard Knott and Yew Bank. Crossed Lincove Beck and did Throstlehow Crag and Scar Lathing (hard work). Crossed Esk without difficulty owing to long dry spell and finished with the long, dreary and pathless ascent of High Scarth and shorter ascent of Silverybield. Easy walk down Eskdale path but had to climb Hard Knott Pass via the road to retrieve vehicle - what an end! | BURGESS | 14/06/2021 |

High Scarth to Cam Spout Crag and on to Pen a bit tricky in places, otherwise all ok. Section 34B All Hills completion on Throstlehow Crags. | jonglew | 19/11/2019 |

With Jo, walk from Brotherilkeld: along paths to top of Cam Spout waterfall, then across rough ground to Cam Spout Crag (top: dome shaped with cross wall, rock is highest point, (from above looks like a hot cross bun), (surprisingly, after seeing nobody all morning somebody was sitting on summit when we arrived)). Descended via scree slope (easier than it looks) onto High Scarth and Rowantree Crags then as outward journey. Weather, cloudy with sunny intervals at first, sunny later, warm throughout, good visibility. | amblerbob | 30/06/2014 |
