From High Row for a round of Calfhow Pike, Little Dodd, Randerside, High Brow and Low How.rhalstead28/12/2019
A very wet and very windy fell run in the clouds. Having parked just outside Dockray near Green How, took the path along the Aura Beck Valley to Dowthwaitehead. Then took a long steep climb upto Birkett Fell and Hart Side. properly in the weather now, no time for stopping, continued along the ridge to Green Side, and up onto Stybarrow Dodd, Watson's Dodd and Great Dodd. Although originally planned to continue over to Clough Head, due to the weather, decided to call it a day, and drop down over Randerside and Brute Moss. Under the clouds was a fairly pleasant and still day. Having joined the Old Coach Road I met a mass a sheep being heard into a next field just outside Lucy's Wood. Having skirted round the edge of these sheep. Then a short way down the road back to the car, wet and very muddy, I drove over to Ulswater for a wash. 2hrs: 14.5km; 611mByronHaywood04/09/2019
