After Cairn a Caim, walked south along the ridge. Amazingly the low cloud lifted and rain stopped. There’s actually a path all the way but you have to turn off the main track ( to stay on the mapped track) at nn658793 cairn, not obvious. This takes you down to a place where you can ford the stream easily before ascending to the summit trig. Returned same way to layby on Drummochter PassDenise 04/10/2023
Parked at A9 layby. Carn na Caim S Top, Carn na Caim, A'Bhuidheanach Bheag. Very wet underfoot, showery and tops in cloud initially, clearing a little later. With Gillian and Denise.richard6904/10/2023

An ambitious start to combine this with its next door neighbour. Setting off from lay by 88 buffeted by speeding traffic we ascended the Land Rover track which rapidly became snow covered and a steady breeze helped us up the hill whilst cooling us s as well. Reaching the plateau the packed snow and drifting cloudy made views patchy.. The long trudge across the snowy undulations using sight and compass in this featureless landscape a surreal experience. A line of iron fence posts led us directly to the trig point. Icy winds and drifting spindrift were a major feature. All clothing was donned to keep us at operating temperature. The return walk was exhausting the day was advancing and so we decided to leave the plateau with one summit and head for the car and the surprising Scottish victory over the French at rugby.david.walker4008/03/2020

Parked in layby 87 for an early start on a superb November day: snow enough to walk dryshod over the summit plateau bogs, good visibility and frequent sun. Made the most of it with a long, rangy circuit: Carn na Caim South Top, CnC, A'Bhuideanach, A'B Bheag, Glas Meall Mor, Meall Uaine, Meall a'Chaorainn. Back down the track as darkness fell, somehow managing to stay upright on the ice patches, having left the spikes in the car to save weight. A'BB was my 141st Munro: half way there, but the difficult half awaits...Nick Down119/11/2017

Climbed on a round of the east Drumochter Munros and Tops on a day out from Tayport.chriswatson28/11/2001
I parked up on the A9 a little north of Drumochter Lodge. Once through the deer fence I was on the open hillside up a spur south-west of Allt Coire Chuirn and a steady climb up to a somewhat featureless plateau. The remains of a fence provided a handrail. The first Munro of the day was A'Bhuidheanach Bheag marked with a trig point. From the summit I headed eastsoutheast to reach the Munro Top at Glas Mheall Mòr. I then retraced my steps to A'Bhuidheanach Bheag before heading north, skirting the minor top at A'Bhuidheanach and continuing northwards over two minor tops marked as 902 and 914 metres and eventually to my second Munro (Càrn na Caim). I returned towards the 902 point before heading down a track from a quarry. Rather than following the track all the way down to the road, I cut across the hillside to my starting point.langskill12/08/2001

With Jonathan Bellarby. From ~NN625780 on the A9 road. Walked over Creagan Doire Dhonaich to the N of the summit following the tracks of three deer we had disturbed. Then to Meall a' Chaorainn. Good long distance views to snow-covered peaks: Ben Alder, Creag Meagaidh, Buachaille Etive, Bridge of Orchy mountains, Lawers group, Braeriach, Strathfarrer mountains etc. To A' Bhuidheanach Bheag and Glas Mheall Mór. By a straight line to Carn na Caim, and then to A' Bhuidheanich (the summit at NN657791). Down to the road via the shoulder to the north of Allt Coire Chuirn. 15cm of lying soft snow.pwbellarby02/12/1984
