Bike along rough track from Balquhidder for 10.8km up to 370m, then easy grassy slopes to summitalda25/05/2023
Descended due N down ridge to mapped forest road. No tree bashing required. Small summer house tucked away over the burn. Zig-zagged down roads to forest edge. Deep gorge straight ahead, so followed river down, and crossed easily at start of flat section. Followed forest edge back to outward track, and bridge to car park.Minto28/02/2023
A clockwise round of 3 Simms and 3 sub-Simms from Inverlochlarig. Descent down North ridge to join forest track and crossing the Invernenty Burn just before it exited the forest. Then a final boggy hike along the forest edge to the bridge and back to car park.NormanW28/02/2023

Parked at the wide track junction 500 yards N of Ballimore. Two deer gates cross the track ahead, the first with a slat missing from the wooden fence to its right, the next with a ladder-like wooden fence to its left. Crossed the river on at the track ford a few hundred yards before the cowshed and made my way on to Beinn Stacach's east ridge, making a circuit of the east top, Beinn Stacach itself, Beinn Bhreac, Taoibh na Coille, TnC south top and Meall Gaothach before cutting back east of TnC and south of Beinn Stacach into Gleann Dubh. Saw a fox lapping from a lochan near BS east top within a few yards of me.Nick Down115/05/2020

Started from small parking area about a mile along the track beyond Loch Voil hostel. Track then a reasonable combination of fire breaks up to Stob Breac, nicely south along the ridge to An Stuchd across to Taobh na Coille seeing a badger on the way at about 1.00pm in the open then north to Beinn Stacach. In descent missed best line I think due to misplacing my compass, so a bit of a struggle through the trees.dickscroop05/11/2016
