Started from the lay-by parking at the East end of Loch Ard. Along road then track to Drumlean then stalkers road that zig zags up to the south of Creag Innich. Bit of a heather hop to the top then along old fence line to Beinn an Fhogharaidh. Back on the track north-westwards to take in Stob an Lochain and Creag a' Bhealaich, a surprising summit hut at the former providing a nice veranda for lunch. Continued over the rugged mounds of Beinn Bhreac and Beinn Chochan before returning to the Loch Ard road down the Ledard Glen path. 4.45hrs.summitter29/11/2023

From Ledard. To avoid swollen burn crossings, descent followed 4x4 tracks down southern flank to Altskeith. Forest 'roads' marked are there but once in the trees are actually very damp green tracks.benalder28406/11/2022

Usual route from Ledard to join ATV track to zig-zaag up to summit and hut whose decking fences have been damaged by Storm Arwen. Snow covering from 400m.lordtonult05/12/2021

From Ledard via Ben Venue. Ascended from Creag a' Bhealaich. Short (!) descent to bizarre alpine building, then followed 4x4 tracks down on southern flank to Altskeith.quadbarrel13/06/2021

From Ledard, along track towards Ben Venue, turned off onto old track from near NN457050, and followed that up the flank of Creag a' Bhealaich to a high point, then headed straight up slopes to Stob an Lochain, descended roughly N to rejoin the Ben Venue track, followed that up to main summit, returned along track to its point point, then NW up slopes to Beinn Bhreac, continuing to Beinn Chochan, descended E towards valley of Ledard Burn, crossing it where several tributaries meet, rejoining the main track and returned to Ledardkdbennett23/04/2021
From the Ben Venue path, via Beinn Chochan and Beinn Bhreac. Picked our way around and between rocks down to the beallach, then up, down and up again over grass to the summit. Lunch tucked out of the wind behind the interesting wee hut. Descended on grass to the ben venue path directly below. The path goes around the stile before crossing the river. Pleasant walk through the forest back to the road, though the track was quite muddy in places.LizH04/11/2020

Was intending to do the 3 tops, but such a guff day, only did this from Ledard Farm. The track shown on the map is a very old one, but does ease the way a bit. Nice shooting hut near summit (very well locked)sure it must have super views, but not today.hils22/11/2019
A round of the 3 Simms and a Sub Simm from Ledard Farm. Descended to the stile at 457045 then the muddy Ben Venue path back to Ledard. Soft snow above 600m made for a fairly energetic day out.NormanW15/11/2019

In the area a day early for UK Challenge marshalling so a super bonus to be able to climb this and Beinn Chochan with time still to get back down to Dounans for dinner at 6.Alex C04/07/2017
First of round of 3 from Ledard Farm carpark. My map didn't show the track direct after the path crosses the burn so plodded up to bealach before turning right. Path was sheet ice due to -7C temperature but gloriously clear. On to Beinn Bhreac via the BealachThearlaichdubh05/01/2017

round of stob an lochain, creag a bhealaich, beinn bhreac, beinn chochan from layby near ledard farm.robertphillips18/11/2016
From the layby opposite Ledard Farm entrance, a good track which I left at NN458053 for 3962. Continued to 3963 and 3967, descending WSW on easy grass to the stile at NN457045 for the return. 6 miles, 2700' of ascent, 4 hrs 15 minsJim.Fothergill23/09/2016

Deep snow made circuit of the three western tops of ben venue hard going. Up from Ledmore farm and then east up ridge to find top. Hut at end of track was a useful confirmation in cloud. Continued north over other two graham tops, one section using my axe as a climbing axe on a couple of steep pitches though I guess there was an easier way arounddickscroop20/01/2015
