Revisit. #1 of 5 from Old Blair car park, Munro revisited then circuit of tops en route to HHB Braigh Clais DaimhRHW09/04/2023
From Old Bridge of Tilt car park. Embarrassingly set off the wrong way so came back and headed up Glen Tilt. On the way up it was murky and wet with some moderate rain. Plenty of wildlife including a Red Squirrel. Luckily the summit cleared as I arrived to give views across these wild hills to the high Cairngorms in the distance. Including the wrong way at the start it was 17.3 miles in 6 hours 40 minutes.isabelle24/10/2022
From Glen Tilt CP, bike to bridge opposite Balaneasie, then steepish path to join track which went almost to the summit. Used a couple of obvious short cuts on the track.TRG31813/10/2022
Backpacking over hills between Tarf and Tilt. Walked up Glen Tilt from Blair Atholl, then track and finally rough ground to Dun Beag. Continued directly to Dun Mor, then across to An Sligearnach and Braigh Coire na Conlaich. Continued to Meall Tionail, Conlach Mhor and Creag a' Chrochaidh. Then a steady climb to Carn a' Chlamain. Then the final section of tops, over Carn a' Chlamain North Top, Braigh Sron Ghorm, Aonach na Cloiche Moire, Braigh nan Creagan Breac. Descent S to Gaw's bridge. Some sunshine on walk min and walk out, on the tops mainly overcast with strong cold wind, didn't feel like AugustRobertP06/08/2022

Hired bikes and cycled to Allt Craooinidh, walked up, down via stalkers path to Forest Lodge and back to bikes. Fell off bike on way down but otherwise a lovely day. Hottest Sept day in 106 years.tsharp08/09/2021
Via usual track having first cycled up Glen Tilt. Better to take the path which cuts off the big bend of the track, separating from it (in descent) about NN920754.Mark Jackson22/08/2021

After over 20 miles doing Beinn Dearg and another 6 summits I decided to tackle this to finish the day, whilst in the area. This brought the day total to 32 miles walked from Blair Atholl. Unfortunately the weather beat me with a shower 15 minutes before the summit followed by the cloud moving in. Still good views most of the day and I was happy with a 1.30 ascent at this point in the day.meltdiceburg10/07/2021

Solo, quite a hot day. No bogs and path was bone dry. There was a lot going on at the Forest Lodge... loads of vehicles. One of the keepers said they were filming a Star Wars thing. Busy road up the Glen. Non-stop cars and minibuses. Fine day on the hill though.Larry Groo01/06/2021
On foot from Glen Tilt car park - walk in via the upper western/northern path, and walk out via the upper eastern side of the glen. Good conditions and the easy terrain made for rapid progress - 5h 54min beginning to end.mproudfoot18/04/2021

Big day out! Parked at Glen Tilt car park and enjoyed a lovely walk up by the river. Headed up towards Carn a'Chlarmain with a little detour to Creag Loisgte, on to the Munro and its north top, keeping going onto Aonach na Cloiche Moire, Braigh nan Creagan Breac and Braigh Clais Daimh before continuing down to the floor of the glen and home. I'd imagine that navigation would be tricky with three non descript tops, but with clear skies, the views were incredible. 6hrs 40 31kmNicky C01/03/2021

19.4 miles 3349ft walk, start at Blair Atholl Castle Caravan Park, take track up Glen Tilt to Slochd Dail Mhoraisd, take path and track up Faire Clach-ghlais to summit of Carn a' chlamain, continue around ridge to Braigh nan Creagan Breac and Braigh Clais Daimh, down to Gleann Mhairc and follow to Ach-mhairc Bridge then Glen Tilt back to Blair Atholl.stephenbuda18/09/2020
Today I got my 128th since August 2016, Carn a' Chlamain (963m). Parking at the Glen Tilt car park near Blair Atholl, I cycled up Glen Tilt to Gleann Craoinidh, where I left the bike and hiked up along a helpful track to the stony summit. There was a fair of buffeting from the strong winds, but that just meant there were no midges. I was only away from the bike for 3:30hrs, 5:10hrs all in. Mainly dry with a short light shower after the summit.chillyman812/09/2020
Walk from road at Kincraigie (above Old Bridge of Tilt) through Leathad Mor and Dalginross Woods and up Glen Tilt. Via Auchgobhal, Marble Lodge, Gaw’s Bridge and Clachghlas and ascent via Faire Clach-ghlais, Grianan Mor to Carn a' Chlamain. Descent same in reverse.raymooremanx09/08/2020

Afternoon cycle up Glen Tilt to Forest Lodge, and walk to summit, with JMcd. Hail and snow, but midgies as well. Retracing the trip from 18 years ago was a definite sign how much I have slowed up, even now questioning if I actually got to the summit at all last time!barnz4827/04/2018
From Old Bridge of Tilt. Followed yellow trail markers along a riverside loop and through the rifle range to Gilbert Bridge. Along the Tilt to Gaws Bridge and up the SW ridge of Carn a'Chlamhain at Balaneasie. Once out of the shelter of Glen Tilt, a fierce SW wind blew away any notions of a tour of adjacent tops, and I settled for the summit and North Top only. Glen Tilt is delightful: on this occasion, I saw a heron in flight twice, dippers - each on its rock, and oystercatchers, a curious sight so far inland.Nick Down101/07/2017

Battled against the head wind up Glen Tilt on my bike. Ascended mindlessly up the easy zig zag path from Forest Lodge. Clear but very windy on top. The bike ride back was glorious, more like sailing than cycling, as I hardly had to peddle at all. Back at the car park for 11am.mindlessflogger25/05/2016

Solo. Parked at the start of the track up Glen Tilt near the Old Bridge of Tilt. To Clachghlas and over Bràigh Clais Daimh and Bràigh nan Creagan Breac to Aonach na Cloiche Mòire. It now became misty as I headed for Càrn a' Chlamain. It was also very cold so I put on a second fleece under my anorak. The mist cleared for a bit but then descended again. I reached the North top of Càrn a' Chlamain and the main summit. It was now snowing quite a bit so the ground was now snow covered, but not to much depth. I headed off SE on a compass bearing and then went down the long ridge running SW above Clachghlas and to Clachghlas. I was out of the mist and the snow ceased. Walked down Glen Tilt along my outward route.pwbellarby08/05/2005

I decided to make this a Glen Tilt and Carn a'Chlamain walk so started from the Bridge of Tilt. Out via Kincraigie, up a superb zigzag stalkers' path from Forest Lodge, traverse of Carn a'Chlamain and down SW ridge- already a bulldozed road there, even in 1991. Back down the road all the way. I recommend this walk; the valley is exceptionally beautiful. Highlights were the section from Marble Lodge to Forest Lodge, Purple Saxifrage growing on a schist boulder on the granite river bed; the wild views high up. Beinn a'Ghlo looked daunting and arctic, snow covered wilderness from the Ma summit. It's just too good to hurry.pwheeler05/04/1991
