Over heather and grass to join the estate track onto Meg Swerie and round to the summit. White hares were easy to spot with no snow on the ground. On to Manywee.LizH14/01/2022
From Rottal estate parking NO367705, along rough track at woodland edge to gate in deer fence, then across wet moorland (no tracks) to cross Burn of Heughs near NO376706, reaching track heading NE towards White Hill which became very indistinct, until joining a new 4WD road that runs on W side of Burn of Heughs to the hut at NO376715 then on to very near the top of White Hill (visible from the parking when hill is not in cloud), followed this, diverting to the summit, continued S on old ATV tracks along E side of a double electric fence to a burn crossing near the col, crossed back to W side of fence and onto another ATV track along grouse butts up Meg Swerie, turning SW along old fence line to summit of Finbracks, and onto summit of Manywee, then NW down old ATV tracks to crossing Kennel Burn continuing on tracks to W side of Burn of Heughs, then back across the wet moor to the woodland edge and the estate parkingkdbennett15/08/2021

A circular walk from the head of Glen Moy with Stonehaven Mountaineering & Hillwalking club. A steep ascent to the summit of Craigthran. Plenty confusion with paths on the ground but not on the maps & we had the most recent os map. Some drizzle but nothing too bad, however lots of rain thunder claps & a lightning flash all around us. Spotted some mountain hares part way thru changing to their summer coat The extent of our views today Ben Lawers range & Schiehallion to the Montrose BasinLizzieG22/05/2016
