2nd half of a game of 2 halfs after climbing carn nan eagan drove to the slochd summit to grab this hill, rolled out of the car and straight up. hard going with the heather in full bloom kept to the fence line and at best any sheep tracks that was available and at worse to the burnt heather anything that made the climb easier, kept of the grass it made walking feel like i was on a giant marshmallow. nice big cairn at the top and from car to summit 45minmikebeattie23/05/2023
From the gate off the A9 at slochd road summit.robertphillips04/12/2022
From the railway bridge om the old road. Bridge is closed to vehicles. Easily up through wood and ascent of South ridge to the large cairn by the gate and stile.NormanW05/11/2022
From driving S on the A9, parked in the quarry just before the bridge over the minor road. Followed the track from there, around to a fenceline, then followed animal tracks to the forest and through widely spaced trees to the S ridge. Up on occasional tracks to the large cairn. Good views to the Cairngorms.LizH27/08/2022
Limited parking near comms mast at Slochd Summit NH835256. Through gate and along estate tracks to about NH844266, then a bee-line for the summit to minimise the purgatorial heather. Today, frozen snowdrifts helped provide a little relief. Took a direct route down to minimise the heather and found the ATV tk lower down.Isbjorn02/03/2022

Started off on the Wade Road at the top of the Slochd. Quickly headed up towards the summit on a faint ATV track. Quite a large cairn gave good a nice sheltered lunch spot. Excellent viewpoint with good all round panoramas. With Nozzer.BigJ16/10/2021

Quick bag from WNW on way home. Parking at gate, up track a short way then straight up, heather mostly short. Impressively large summit cairn. On Fiona Graham's original list as has >2m isolation.RHW26/07/2015
Second of two short walks inb the afternoon as overnight and morning storm force winds ruled out other options. A pleasant afternoon, no hint of a path from road at Slochd junctiondickscroop06/10/2014
