Last of 5 tumps. Descent - to cairn where picked up track. NOTE: the forest track at 673255 heading to Achvraid only goes a few 100 yards. It looks to have collapsed into the river and the way is blocked. We followed the track around the hillside to Mains of Flichity. A few undulations but quite pleasant and saved us a long walk on the road. | sarahk | 05/05/2023 |
Circular route starting opposite cottage at Tomintoul farm lane. With Rhopa, Struie and Hoy. Hard going in thick heather sometimes. | DampandDusty | 28/01/2023 |
Parked at 725263 for a round of 5 Tumps: Aonach Odhar, Carn na Saobhaidh (my 600th logged summit in 2021: possibly the most interesting thing to have happened to this hill!), Carn na Saobhaidh East Top, Carn Glac an Eich, Beinn Bhreac. | PGCE | 01/05/2021 |
5 of 9: From the East Top. | ChrisR | 10/10/2019 |
Perfect conditions, clag down and heavy drizzle. | Dave McG | 10/01/2019 |
Circular from parking at sheep fank to NE, initially on good track. | Smudge | 22/12/2018 |
A long day stitching together a nondescript scattering of 6 tops all heather and peat bog with little to brighten the day except for a couple of streams that provided good walking. Even the wind turbines were a highlight! Carn na Saobhaidh; Beinn Acha Bhraghasd; Carn Ghriogaair North Top; Carn Ghriogair; Bein Bhread Mor; Aonach Odhar. | dickscroop | 20/10/2017 |
Not one to introduce a friend to the pleasures of Scottish hill walking. Approached by track from the east, which has new branches. Ascended stream to the south of Carn Odhar and then plodded through peat hags to the summit. There is a fence which should be followed for the last stretch. Returned same way but went over Carn Odhar to the more pleasing East Top. | JohnW | 12/04/2017 |
