Meall a’ Chromhlain, accessed via footbridge at 333930 not shown on 1:50k map. Cross to Beinn Bhan using an ATV track to help navigate the bog. (This whole route is very wet and full of peat hags.) Carn na Larach to Carn dearg (N). Easy walking to Glas Charn, which has great views. Cross to bealach between Carn Dearg (N) and Meallan Odhar keeping a high line to avoid the worst of the hags. From Meallan Odhar to Carn Dearg (S) and then on to Carn Dearg Beag and Glas Bheinn by obvious route. Descent to track by going roughly south to hit track at point where the Allt na Glas Bheinne meets it. The terrain on this slope is very benign, especially when compared with the rest of the route! Back to car by following the track. There is now a small mobile phone mast (satellite?) at the lodge; the phone box lower down the glen has been removed.sarahk02/05/2023
Parked at Glen Roy road end for a circuit of 9 Simms. 7/9PGCE25/06/2021
1 of 7: I parked just north of the Great Glen Hostel at 295974 and followed the zig zag forest roads to 302972. Here a newish track climbed 70m up to a sluice at 306973. A wide forest ride was visible to the east but a lot of forestry brash had to be crossed. When I reached the top road at 314970 the road and the bottom of the ride was blocked by a huge mass of fallen trees. It took a long time to thread a way initially down and then round the back of this. I then went up the steep ride, climbed a fence and arrived on the ridge at 318964. P684. Maybe better via Coire an t-Sidhein.ChrisR05/11/2019
