Others return while Jeff and I continue south to Bein Iutharn Mhor at 2.00pm then Mam nan carn and Beinn Iutharn Beag (an original Munro, why was it demoted and not Carn Ghluasaid???????)12km back down the track in eventual starlit darkness to the house at 6.30 (10 hours, approx 30km)vegibagger30/10/1997

Solo. From Spittal of Glenshee up Gleann Taitneach. There was snow, patchy, on the ground with one very slight snow flurry. I walked up to Loch nan Eun and followed the track of another walker to the summit of Beinn Iutharn Bheag. There was continuous snow cover above 500m. Continued to Màm nan Carn where I met two skiers at the medium sized summit cairn. I continued to Beinn Iutharn Mhòr and then Carn an Righ.pwbellarby30/03/1996
