With Struie. Parked out of the way down near the houses by Bhlaraidh. Use the hydro track to ascend to a gate in the deer fence at 338191. Follow a feint ATV track up onto the ridge and go over the top of Carn na Caorach. Descend to find a stile over the deer fence at approx 319189. Ascend straighforward ridge to Carn Mhic an Toisich. Return round the outside of the deer fenced enclosure in the general direction of Loch Liath to regain the main hydro track back to start. | DampandDusty | 18/02/2024 |
As per SMC guide except started from lay-by 300m W of entrance to Wind Farm. Tracks to near Lochan Liath, then walked via Carn na Caorach. Afterwards, back to track and on to Meall a' Chrathaich via Wind Farm roads. Returned by route of ascent. | benalder284 | 07/01/2024 |
From Meall a Chrathaich. Tracks as far as Loch Liath dam, then pathless. The hill is now surrounded by a deer fence as native tree cover is being introduced by Dundreggan estate. There is a ladder stile near the dam and another on the Carn Mhic an Toisich side. | Owen B | 24/08/2023 |

Circuit from Hilton. 7/9 | PGCE | 05/05/2022 |
Biked in on new wind farm track until it merged with the original track and on up to Loch Liath. Crosed dery ford and found god place for tent and left bike. Went west then over Carn na Caorach, Carn Mhic an Toisich and Carn nan Earb without difficulty until... got back to the dry ford which was now a raging torrent and impassable with my bike and tent on far side. Fortunately there is a short section immediately below the dam where it is channelled through a pipe so I managed to get back. The sluices had been opened but fortunately later ibn the evening they were closed again. See also Meall a Chrachaich etc on the 16th. | dickscroop | 15/04/2022 |
