Revisit. On route to Cam Chreag. Visited trig and summit.PGCE22/03/2024
Final peak of today then back to track. Sat in the drizzle munching a ham sarnie with plenty of mustard. Good to bag 2 corbetts. Perfect. Company: Soloiandesbottes15/11/2023
A revisit from Edinchip. Good parking at 583222, given that the farmer does not like parking on the road verge (sigh, another land grab). Along the estate road and follow the wooden signposts up to the old railway, along this to 575222 and track across field, through forestry and out onto the hill. Steep grind but easy going, then a nice ridge walk. Descent direct from the summit to the track, mainly easy steep grass but rough heather closer to the track. A good rehab walk for an invalid.Gill214/09/2023
From church CP at NN 528233 - donation politely requestedcarole engel22/06/2023
From car park in Lochearnhead up Glen Kendrum track to col up to Carn Chreag and Meall an t-Seallaidh back via Meall an Fhiodhain before descending back to Col and up to Creag Mac Ranaich and it’s south top. Along ridge to Meall Sgallachd and Meall Reamhar north top before going back to track. Great views once low cloud cleared.PeterD05/06/2023
SMMC meet at Crianlarich. Started from layby on A85, just west of Ledcharrie. Took track and path that goes to Kirkton Glen. Then from Rob Roy's Putting Stone, contoured hillside and gradually ascended to summit. Return via tops: Cam Chreag, Meall an Fhiodhain and M an F West top.clashcityrocker12/12/2022

From the church at Lochearnhead (donation made), then track up Glen Kendrum, generally following the Walkhighlands route: Creag Mac Ranaich - Meall an Fhiodain- Cam Chreag - Meall an t-Seallaidh, descent E to the trackRockdoctor08/10/2022
Lochearnhead Church cp, up cycle route to Upper railway line and along this to track up Glen Kendrum. Up track to bealach and followed path from fencepost to the coll. Left over Cam Chreag and on to summit. Back west of Cam Chreag and over to Meall an Fhiodhain. Back to bealach and down to the track.Flatfield13/09/2022
Hot and sunny, delightful; no wind but few insects, ground very dry, views excellent, good track for running up and down fr LochearnheadNorfolkPT2112/08/2022
Solo dawn ascent of Creag Mac Ranaich & Meall an t-Seallaidh from Lochearnhead car park - was dark on setting off from car park, but just about light enough to see without the head torch by the time I reached the bridge where the route leaves the road to go up the cycle path. Steep ascent up Creag Mac Ranaich from the track, but great views up from both tops (blue skies & sunshine). Rapid descent back down to the track, then up and behind Cam Chreag up to Meall an t-Seallaidh for some more amazing views in all directions. The descent down to the track was the only real ballache, but once I reached the track, I ditched the poles and gaiters and walk-jogged back to the car. Total time 5h 7minmproudfoot10/08/2022
Circuit from Lochearnhead St Angus Church - parking with donation box - via track up Glen Kendrum to bealach then steep climb alongside some old metal fenceposts to Creag Mac Ranaich (South and North tops). Return to bealach and, again, followed an old fence line to Cam Chreag and Meall an t-Seallaidh. Continued along ridge to beyond S.E. top and headed N.E. over steep and rough ground to bridge (near dam) over Kendrum Burn and track back to Lochearnhead.RobB27/07/2022
Solo from Keltie Bridge Callander. Cycle on Rob Roy Way to Glen Kendrum. Left bike at track summit and ascended N flank Cam Chreag after ascent of Creag Mac Ranaich. Descent via W col to bike and down Glen Kendrum and eventually Callander. 75km round trip.John Lee16/04/2022
With Mac Ranaich. From church in Lochearnhead, half of it with guy met in carpark. Cold, quite large snowfields on tops, clag from about 600m. Raining for last 45mins or so. Rounsfell02/03/2022

Up Kirkton Glen from Balquhidder to the lochan, then round the ridge to Meall an Fhiodhain (W and main), Cam Chreag, Meall an t-Seallaidh, 789m Top, SW through gap in trees to forest track, straight on at bend to Creag an Tuirc and back to car down MTB track. Would have been a grand day out but for the wind and low cloud.TRG31823/03/2021
From Balquhidder with Moira and Liz. Hard going traversing to the top after the forestry.ColB02/10/2020
From Creag Mac Ranaich. Reasonably good ground, some peat hags by the col but not bad. Pleasant grassy slopes to the summit. Then SE along the broad ridge, then E by the side of the forestry. Found the break in the trees to regain the dismantled railway back to Balquidder Lovely short day in stunning weather.Owen B19/09/2020
I parked in the church car park. Midges and a drizzle started as I arrived. I made good progress on the forest road and then the path to Glen Dochart. Once I was out of the trees, I crossed a couple of fences and began a tedious rising traverse of Meall an Fhiodhian and Cam Chreag and then a slow pull up onto Meall an-t-Seallaidh. After some lunch and a few photos I headed down - it was cold as I had sweated heavily and there was a biting wind. I had spotted an area of thinning in the trees on the way up and decided to aim for this as a shortcut for the return. The descent to the trees and crossing the fence were uneventful, except for a lamb emerging from a tree root hiding place as I stepped round a tree just above the fence. However, the descent through the trees was nervous. I realised that if I slipped and had an accident I would be difficult to find and rescue. But I survived. I then made good progress weaving through the forest on the forest roads and back to the car.langskill03/08/2020
Started from the pull=in at the beginning of the forestry road a mile west of Balquhidder to keep a safe distance from others during the epidemic. CW round of Meall an Fhiodhain west top, MaF, Cam Chreag and Meall an t-Seallaidh, cutting down by a stream through the forest (a scratchy experience due to close planting and piles of brash) to rejoin the tracks. Outstanding views: all in all, a really good walk.Nick Down110/05/2020
Up from beallach at NN541248, down via spur NN546235, followed land rover track down Glen Kendrum, round hill to cycle trail then down to Craggan and out to Lochearnhead carpark at NN593237 (can park in church carpark at NN588233 for a donation).Danmawr18/05/2019

As per SMC guidebook, walked round from car park in Lochearnhead to lane by church, only to find that church does allow parking in its small car park on non-service days for a donation. Standard route up the track to the bealach & then steeply up to Creag Mac Ranaich. Mist drifted in briefly but then cleared taking with it the cloud which had hung over Meall an t-Seallaidh all day. Back to the col & then directly up to lochan NW of Cam Chreag & then on to Meall an t-Sealliadh for a great view. Decided to minimise the heather bashing by heading NE & aiming at the bend in the outward track at 552243. Could have done without the extra pavement bashing after the church.NotReallyABagger27/12/2018
With Sue from Balquhidder Church via Kirkton Glen then awkward rising traverse contouring to summit. Very cold and windy with a early seasonal dusting of snow. dropped to fence line and return same way through forest road.Frank27/10/2018
From A84 at Edinchip, along Glen Kendrum track, across the stream to ridge S of Meall an t-Seallaidh and N along ridge to summit, continuing to Cam Chreag, descent back to glen and up Creag Mac Ranaich, crossing both summits, continuing round ridge to Meall Sgallachd, descending back to Glen Kendrum track and back to Edinchipkdbennett29/09/2018

Parked down the little road at the northern end of Balquhidder station, 200m north of the Golden Larches. The road looks private but probably isn't. Then along the old railway and up the Glen Kendrum track.Pete R21/07/2018
Both Glen Kendrum Corbetts from Lochearnhead. On own.MorecambeMonkey25/06/2018
A nice gradual walk then final steep ascent up to Cam Chreag before enjoying lunch on the amazing summit viewpoint, it's superb! Enjoyed the view of three lochs and surrounding big hills before being chased down in about 30 minutes by a massive thunder and lightning storm!Chris Mac09/06/2018
Climbed with Domonic W. Bit of a mixed weather day. Mostly clear but rain on/off and windamcculloch19/08/2017
2nd of the day. About an hour to get here from the other one. Showers but mild.Play2End13/08/2017
Climbed in hot, sunny but windy conditions with John Mcd. Approach from south of Lochearnhead was complicated, requiring statutory responsible access through Edinchip estate. Return simpler, using both railway accesses and new adjoining cycleway.barnz4817/07/2017
From Lochearnhead (8:10) took tiresome winding route to old railway and track up glen. Followed this to col, then steeply up trackless slope to summit plateau and top of Creag Rainaich. Back to col down even steeper slope. Up grassy slopes from col to top of Meall an t'Seallaidh. Good views. Back down direct to nearest pt of track and thence back to car (15:05). Light showers but mostly dry and some sun; clear but windy on both tops.dbb25/06/2017

ACW round of meall reamhar, meall reamhar north top, meall sqallachd, creag mac ranaich, creag mac ranaich south top, meall an fhiodhain west top, meall an fhiodhain, cam chreag, meall an t seallaidh from lochearnhead parked in church cp.robertphillips08/12/2016
From Edinchip, via the new hydro track on the west side of Glen Kendrum. An argocat track goes a short way up beside the forestry, followed by sheep tracks through soft deep snow, onto the broad ridge. It's a surprisingly easy stroll to the summit, with relatively few peat hags, and the snow made light work of the bogs. No view...but a nice walk anyway. The trig was buried in snow so not visible but the top is obvious, perhaps a bit higher when snowbound?Gill11/11/2016
A circuiit from just west of hotel starting up good track. Forest continues a lost further up the valley than shown on map so had to seek out fire breaks but not too bad on the two ascents. Stob creagach first up a very steep fire break then cross back east to The Stob, less steep. Then south via Stob Caol to road with some problems as did not find track -trees!dickscroop07/11/2016
From Lochearnhead via Glen Kendrum as described in SMC Corbetts book.davidpettit8406/11/2016
Windy and cloudy. Start of walk is from the A84 and look for bike route sign. Long walk in, use a bike. You can park at the church for a donation (but not when a service is on.Jhimmy11/10/2016
