Followed a new FP being constructed from the car park to a new viewing point. Once N of the summit it was straightforward to follow animal tracks and a largely open route to the top. Reversed descent.summitter08/03/2023
From car park to N. Good track starts at NN 4955 0717, but soon peters out, then steep and rough ground, lots of vegetation - bilberry, heather, bracken, all soaking wet today. Continued on to Garbh Innis over equally awkward ground and in even wetter conditions when sustained and heavy rain set in :-(jonglew10/08/2021
From the Loch Katrine car park as others. Had intended to traverse towards Garbh Innis but put off by cliffs. Returned towards start but ended up too far North and reaching the steamer boatsheds had to reascend to get back to the car. Fairly dreadful with high bracken obscuring the ground.NormanW20/07/2021
I was going to climb Garbh Innis first, but the car park at the start of the Loch Katrine dam road was closed (due to Covid). So I parked in the pier car park and climbed this first. Started from where the coach bays / car bays meet, and the drainage ditches converge near the edge of the car park. There's a line in the grass starting to form, a couple of garden canes, and beyond a little path for a few hundred metres, with a few little yellow flags. Thereafter went steeply up heather and bilberry, easily dodging the crags. Onwards to Garbh Innis down through head-high bracken, which was avoided later by following the bracken-free boggy ground to the road.Minto15/07/2021
Straight up from the Loch Katrine car park where there was a suggestion of a path at NN49550 07155. Path disappeared into deep moss, and picked our way up through amazing undergrowth to the summit. Surprisingly interesting wee hill.LizH12/11/2020
From the carpark in a rainy afternoon after a boat trip on the lake. I reached the summit by steep tracks on thick, humid woodland.Pampuco26/10/2019
From the Loch Katrine pier car park, with Ellie dog.BLACKHILL09/04/2019
An add-on after climbing Ben Venue. Solo.Dangerous Dave24/02/2019
From the Loch Katrine car park, up steep wooded slopes by the emergency assembly point. On a sunny day after heavy snowfalls, this made a pleasant, short, snowy excursion, with good views of lochs Katrine and Achray from the little fore-summit and summit.Nick Down120/01/2018
Woman in information centre didn't even know it was called Craig Leven, never mind a way up. Definitely one wearing wellies.Martin R19/10/2017
Straight up from carpark and straight back down. Nothing specialThearlaichdubh29/12/2016
Traversed. Went up reasonably angled heathery slope from east, carried on down to north, which was grassy in places and easier until we ended up on the roof of a boat house and couldn't get down from it and couldn't climb cliff above it so retreated back up and round and came out by green benches in car park. Easiest line of ascent probably starts from the benches, veering west at first.alda15/11/2016
MC. From the car park. Directly up through trees towards obvious cleft beside cliff. Very mossy with broken branches etc. Followed by trip on the Walter Scott.Martin6624/04/2016
straight up steep heathery ground from the carpark at road end.robertphillips04/02/2015
From SE, walk either road N or NW for 100ish m then head up onto ridge, a bit complicated, intermittent deer trods help. Seems to be no path from the Katrine car park to this obvious but tree-girt summit. RHW28/04/2012
