Glad I walked to this peak. Little cairn on top. Occasional view. Cloud just above summit. Pleasant walk in from Lochearnhead. No other bods around. Perfect. Company: Soloiandesbottes15/11/2023

From car park in Lochearnhead up Glen Kendrum track to col up to Carn Chreag and Meall an t-Seallaidh back via Meall an Fhiodhain before descending back to Col and up to Creag Mac Ranaich and it’s south top. Along ridge to Meall Sgallachd and Meall Reamhar north top before going back to track. Great views once low cloud cleared.PeterD05/06/2023

From the church at Lochearnhead (donation made), then track up Glen Kendrum, generally following the Walkhighlands route: Creag Mac Ranaich - Meall an Fhiodain- Cam Chreag - Meall an t-Seallaidh, descent E to the trackRockdoctor08/10/2022
Solo dawn ascent of Creag Mac Ranaich & Meall an t-Seallaidh from Lochearnhead car park - was dark on setting off from car park, but just about light enough to see without the head torch by the time I reached the bridge where the route leaves the road to go up the cycle path. Steep ascent up Creag Mac Ranaich from the track, but great views up from both tops (blue skies & sunshine). Rapid descent back down to the track, then up and behind Cam Chreag up to Meall an t-Seallaidh for some more amazing views in all directions. The descent down to the track was the only real ballache, but once I reached the track, I ditched the poles and gaiters and walk-jogged back to the car. Total time 5h 7minmproudfoot10/08/2022
Solo from Keltie Bridge Callander. Cycle on Rob Roy Way to Glen Kendrum. Left bike at track summit and ascended S flank. Very steep and craggy via S summit.John Lee16/04/2022
With an t-Seallaidh. From church in Lochearnhead, half of it with guy met in carpark. Cold, quite large snowfields on tops, clag from about 600m. Raining for last 45mins or so. Rounsfell02/03/2022
From St Angus Church CP (donation box) via Glen Kendrum. Creag Mac Ranaich then Meall an t-Seallaidh.vuirich02/08/2021

Circuit from Lochearnhead.thekirkie pirate15/05/2021
Climbed from Lochearnhead via the old railway, then track up Glen Kendrum. Had planned on getting the adjacent Corbett aswell, but couldn't be bothered so descended east down boggy slopes into Glen Ogle then joined the Glen Ogle trial along the old milirary road. Low cloud, giving inversion conditions above 750m, 06:40hrs all in.chillyman828/11/2020
With Brian R. fab views with temperature inversion. Heading north to the TUMPPlay2End06/11/2020
Climbed from Lochearnhead with Moira.ColB04/11/2020
Google Streetview threw up a parking space at Pickersgill House NE of Balquhidder. From there very easily along the dismantled railway to join the good track up the glen. Then up steep but mostly grassy slopes to bag both summits. Wall to wall sunshine but none of the problems of dehydration, sunburn and insects of August. Enjoyed this one a lot and made good time.Owen B19/09/2020
From Lochearnhead carpark at NN593237 (can also park in church carpark at NN588233 for a donation), followed road to Craggan then up cycle route to landrover track, followed track round hill then up Glen Kendrum to beallach at NN542248, up between crags to NN543251 then over to summit. Back down to beallach same way.Danmawr18/05/2019
On my own from lay-by at head of Glen Ogle. Tussocky on a lovely fine day. Easter Monday, and not a soul to be seen.Phreerunner22/04/2019
3rd time up Creag Mac Ranaich but not sure which top[s] I visited on previous occasions. - 17/01/1988 and 21/12/1997.russell6119/04/2019
A pleasant walk in the snow from the church car park near Craggan, up Glen Kendrum, then taking in all 5 tops east of the glen, coming back down the shoulder from Meall Reamh. The ice and blue skies helped make it an excellent 4.5hr round for me and Deana.summitter02/02/2019
As per SMC guidebook, walked round from car park in Lochearnhead to lane by church, only to find that church does allow parking in its small car park on non-service days for a donation. Standard route up the track to the bealach & then steeply up to Creag Mac Ranaich. Mist drifted in briefly but then cleared taking with it the cloud which had hung over Meall an t-Seallaidh all day. Back to the col & then directly up to lochan NW of Cam Chreag & then on to Meall an t-Sealliadh for a great view. Decided to minimise the heather bashing by heading NE & aiming at the bend in the outward track at 552243. Could have done without the extra pavement bashing after the church.NotReallyABagger27/12/2018
From A84 at Edinchip, along Glen Kendrum track, across the stream to ridge S of Meall an t-Seallaidh and N along ridge to summit, continuing to Cam Chreag, descent back to glen and up Creag Mac Ranaich, crossing both summits, continuing round ridge to Meall Sgallachd, descending back to Glen Kendrum track and back to Edinchipkdbennett29/09/2018

From Edinchip, up the Glen Kendrum track, then along the ridge to the east: Creag MacRanaich South and North Tops, Meall Sgallachd, Creag na h-Iolaire and Meall Reamhar. Superb views in all directions, with Lawers and the Tarmachan Ridge and Vorlich and Stuc a Chroin in snowy raiment particular highlights.Nick Down124/02/2018
Climbed with Domonic W. Bit of a mixed weather day. Mostly clear but rain on/off and windamcculloch19/08/2017
With GHC up the track then solo to the top. Light showers but good views. Steep ascent.Play2End13/08/2017
Climbed in hot, sunny but windy conditions with John Mcd. Approach from south of Lochearnhead was complicated, requiring statutory responsible access through Edinchip estate.barnz4817/07/2017
From Lochearnhead (8:10) took tiresome winding route to old railway and track up glen. Followed this to col, then steeply up trackless slope to summit plateau and top of Creag Rainaich. Back to col down even steeper slope. Up grassy slopes from col to top of Meall an t'Seallaidh. Good views. Back down direct to nearest pt of track and thence back to car (15:05). Light showers but mostly dry and some sun; clear but windy on both tops.dbb25/06/2017
Straightforward from previous hill. A little snow still around.davechaffey11/03/2017
A very windy, wet and cloudy day from head of Glen Ogle.Initially up a poor track near fortest edge then compass bearing to main summit. Summit cairn did not match description in book so spent some time hunting around in the cloud before I was sure (and it did match the photo here. Slight error in descent befoer ascet to Meall Sgallachd - went down too far north and too low. After that straightforward following the fence over the 620m top to Meall Reamhar. Took poor line down to near disused railway viaduct which lead to some difficult ground - should have stayed more on the ridge.dickscroop30/12/2016
ACW round of meall reamhar, meall reamhar north top, meall sqallachd, creag mac ranaich, creag mac ranaich south top, meall an fhiodhain west top, meall an fhiodhain, cam chreag, meall an t seallaidh from lochearnhead parked in church cp.robertphillips08/12/2016
From Lochearnhead via Glen Kendrum as described in SMC Corbetts book.davidpettit8406/11/2016
Windy and cloudy. Start of walk is from the A84 and look for bike route sign. Long walk in, use a bike. You can park at the church for a donation (but not when a service is on. Steep climb up and a false cairn before the true top.Jhimmy11/10/2016
Climbed with Sue , very wet underfoot.Frank26/09/2016
I rather fancied a circuit of Glen Kendrum so started via Meall Ramhear. Lovely stroll in the sunshine, but degenerates into peat hags and pillowy vegetables after the summit. A right old thrash until Meall Sgallachd, and then it's lovely walk to the summit. No wonder normal people climb this hill via the landrover track. Like an idiot I followed the SMC route off the top instead of the blindingly obvious path, and regretted it when I saw the easy descent to the bealach. That was enough for one day, with the long drive back to Derbyshire ahead of me. Macaroni cheese in the Golden Larches provided strength for the drive.Gill15/08/2016
Walk from Glen Kendrum with Richard Jones, track between the two Corbetts tackling Creag MacRanaich first. Cool cloudy start breaking into warm sunshine.N.Morters08/05/2016

A heat wave on Good Friday! A steep climb up from the track from Ledcharrie farm. Fantastic conditions and visibility all round with snow still covering Ben More / Stob Binien and Ben Lui. Steep descent over to Meall an t-Seallaidh.Roblex18/04/2014
MMC walk from Edinchip via Glen Kendrum. Gales but tops were clear. 6 hours.alexmaclennan01/09/2013
Started from Ardchyle. Track not always clear until reached the sheep creep ridden railway line. Very wet and misty. Navigation was 'fun' on the descent.Martin R23/10/2011
W Jenx on 6th anniversary of first climbing. From Lochearnhead church car park, through lanes to Glen Kendrum, then track to bealach between MacRaniach and Meall an't Saillaidh. Easy climbing to both before return same way.nordicstar08/10/2011
