8.8 mile circular from small car park below Sron na Gaoithe. Up steeply contouring Sron na Gaoithe then easy grassy tracks up to Glas Maol's broad summit. From here we retraced our steps a little but then headed onto Cairn of Claise and finally Carn an Tuirc descending steeply to the path to Carn an Tuirc hut then following this back to car park. Amazing patchwork/sunny conditions with a light breeze. Great views especially from Cairn of Claise. From the Fife Lomonds south to Ben Macdui/Braeriach north. 760m ascent. Unsurprisingly quite a few people about.DanTrig16/09/2021

Carn an Tuirc (1019m), Cairn of Claise (1064m), Glas Maol (1068m) and Creag Leacach (987m), started just before dawn and was back at my car before sunset, 7.25 hours all in. Two tricky bits, on the ascent to Carn an Tuirc and the return leg on the west slope of Glas Maol where I had to use by cheap, but practical crampons. Also I saw several Ptarmigans and Mountain Hares.chillyman830/12/2018
