From CP at Castlehill Reservoir, up the road then on Forest track round NW of Auchlinsky hill (small detour on way up to get on to Auchlinsky hill itself) then back on track to Commonedge Hill before continuing to Seamab Hill. Returned via Works and then followed Woodland Trail back to CP - Beautiful sunshine making for amazing viewsAl_N26/04/2020

Pleasant ascent on track first through recent Woodland Trust plantations and then on a wide ride through conifers - then on to open land and style leading to summit. Route to Seanab Hill looks interesting, but rain restricted my plans.JohnW18/10/2019
From Castlehill Reservoir parking. Up the track and through the nature walks to summit. Hazy but warm sunshineN.Morters18/04/2019
From Castlehill CP via zigzag track across the flank of Auchlinsky Hill. The summit of Commonedge Hill is startling airy as the path leaves the trees, and the view to the shark's fin of North Berwick Law and across the Forth and Fife is outstanding. A track leads through a gate into the forestry at Hillfoot Hill. After playing forestry snakes and ladders - diverting around fallen trees and diving along clear avenues between tree rows - I came upon a strip of grass. At its upper end is the summit, occupied by a series of camouflage screens made from branches and brushwood and, inside them, a blue tarp shelter. An unexpected find.Nick Down125/06/2018
Clear blue December skies, no wind, below zero ... and a great view to the new Forth Bridge.summitter10/12/2017
