Parked at the Ballo wood car park. Went N on the road a short distance to a gate, then downhill across a field and up on animal tracks past the wood and along to the summit. Cold breeze but good views. Went towards the woods, then descended steeply east, picking up a vehicle track through a couple of gates towards the road.LizH15/12/2019
From Buttergask Hill. Easily up through pine trees, across the non-existent road, to the summit. Back through trees, the descended NW, and contoured round SW to track to Over Buttergask Cottages.Minto16/07/2017

Parked at Ballo wood and followed fields to final barbed wire fence, then straight up escarpment. On descent went via path through recently felled timber - not a good ideaThearlaichdubh31/12/2014
Easier than map suggests, trees on northern slope all felled, lots of new quadbike tracks allow direct approach from north to treeline and along easy summit ridge.alda02/12/2014
