Parked at the National Trust grassy parking area 295248. Paths west on the access land to the fence corner on the coast path. Easy 500m walk south to the summit on a very windy day. Retraced steps. With JF, who took a circular route missing the summit. | Owen B | 28/12/2023 |
A circuit from Abersoch | BaggerGutt | 03/12/2023 |
OMG! The marked bridleway leading W towards hill doesn't exist. Anyhow we crossed the first field, and found the exit gate wired shut, and raised in height with barbed wire to 6'. Having got that far we determined to carry on, and escaped via a double barbed wire edge around a dyke/hedge onto the access land. A maze of paths eventually led us to the summit and trig. On the way back we came via the NT car park, which is near Ty Newydd. | Minto | 19/07/2023 |
Lots of footpaths around here do not exist! The NT car park is not on a map and is not signposted. We found it on the way back! With Minto & Jill. | Dangerous Dave | 19/07/2023 |
Very hot and sunny coastal path walk from Nant Y Big campsite with stunning 'Mediterranean' views. Ground disturbed by embankments and reservoirs; trig assumed to be HP. Revisit | Denise | 17/07/2021 |
Along the scenic coast path from the excellent Nant-y-Big campsite. The high point mound feels relatively recently manmade to me. Lunch in the hot sunshine enjoying the fine views. | RichardM | 17/07/2021 |

Walk round the peninsula from parking on NT land by Ty Newydd. Summit reached in about 10 mins but the walk above Trwyn Cilian and Trwyn Llech-y-doll was worthwhile, indeed a delight on a sunny, crystal clear afternoon. With brother, Pete | pwheeler | 17/09/2016 |

Towards end of long Wales Coast path day, Pwllheli - Cilan. Light was going and tired legs, not the most exciting of tops but good coastal views onwards towards the tip of the Lleyn. We saw a pod of 7 or 8 dolphins off the coast near St Tudwal's Islands, which was a major highlight. | thesweetcheat | 11/03/2016 |
From end of minor road to NE, plenty of grassy parking spaces. Good grassy paths over flat heathery ground. Trig pillar and covered reservoir in summit proximity. | jonglew | 16/08/2015 |

Parked at SH294246 but could have driven nearer - terrific views. | Chris Peart | 19/01/2014 |
Parked in Hell's Mouth car park (SH 285 267). Walked along beach south-east, and then took Lleyn Coastal Path onto promontary. Path diverts inland due to blocked access, but rejoins cliffside over National Trust heathland. Then good path to trig point. With Andy and James T. | Man of Kernow1 | 19/10/2013 |
9.32 am Full Moon day and would never have believed that within an hour I'd be lost in Mist at the next trig half of the way towards Mynydd Anelog.
Would never have believed I could get quite lost and disorientated in mist on Mynydd Penarfynydd after just a 50m climb up a grassy bank and return straight down what I thought felt like the fourth side of a rectangle. Stupidly left map and compass in the car. Seriously lost for about 30-40 mins. Had to reverse my direction twice and quite amazed and a little bit freaked out by how easy it was. Clear now that it was not simply three sides of a rectangle that I'd walked and if been trying to come down the other side of the ridge and was walking east and south towards cliffs instead of west North west to my car. Unnerving for a while and back in the car looking at the map realised that the ridge does a distinct dogleg!! | vegibagger | 21/08/2013 |
From SH 293 245. Quizzed by a local resident because I was taking photos(!). | summitsup | 19/07/2013 |
Straightforward bag after getting off the bus at Sarn Bach. Previously walked this section of coast path in Winter 2008. | Alex C | 01/07/2013 |
My lowest unclimbed Welsh HuMP. Left car on heathland and a 20 min walk to the column 8376 in trainers. All the Lleyn peaks in view. | arranc | 31/05/2013 |

Staying at Rhydolion and ran up it along the beach first. | stever | 29/07/2012 |
Parked at T-junction to make this into a GR8 coastal walk as the sun was out here while cool and cloudy elsewhere. Trig is in a dip on an grassy bank beside the track with ground higher to north of trig. | Dugswell2 | 05/03/2011 |
Easy walk in absolutely foul weather. Did the nearby geocache which is in a nicer position than the trig. | signyred | 06/06/2009 |
NT area. Top has a trig and a slightly higher grassy mound near the structure - reservoir? | destaylor | 27/05/2009 |
