From South end of Precipice walk carpark (free, with toilets). Followed all ability path to N end of lake. Then cut up steep pathless heathery slope to ridge. Followed ridge to large cairn on top. Surprised nit to find a path? Returned same way, leaving the tumps for another time. Grey day, limited views.Denise 07/10/2021

Foel Cynwch and Foel Faner from the Precipice Walk car park. Got a bit confused in the mist but it was great fun clambering about on these two hills.clivevilla17/03/2020
With Jenx and Bryher from standard car park for Precipice Walk. Cut up from path at first opportunity and direct to top cairn of Foel Cynwch. Damage caused by last years fire very evident. On to Iron Age fort Tump and another on way backnordicstar06/04/2019
A circuit of the three tops. Quick after lazing the morning away at the CAT.jenx06/04/2019
From Precipice Walk car park, with Pete: Foel Cynwch, Foel Faner and Foel Offrwm. We left the Precipice Walk at SH740216 and enjoyed a satisfying traverse of these two hills from NNE to SSW. We found farmers' vehicle tracks and sheep tracks right along the ridge- even a little ovine precipice walk at SH 7332 2087. After a wet morning, it was Pared y cefn hir that stood out amongst the hills, above a silvery Mawddach estuary. A gap and a gate in the walls at SH732206 was the key to the ascent of Foel Faner.pwheeler09/09/2018

Start from Precipice Walk car park: Foel Cynwch - Foel Faner - Fedw Felen. Probably better to rejoin Precipice Walk path rather than follow ridge to Foel Faner. Fedw Faner hillside covered with bluebells.RobertP07/05/2017
