From NE parked on verge near house with dovecote. Up tracks via America and ROW path. Good views. 2/6 | N.Morters | 23/12/2023 |
Up from layby to east (223269) as others- nice walk over pastures. Keeping on RoW as long as possible means a very easy bw fence to get into summit pasture, so I returned down to gate at 2222 2657 on the other side of the fence. Then, I encountered the farmer who gave me a friendly wave and as I was the wrong side of the fence for the RoW she helped me under the bbw fence. | pwheeler | 02/05/2023 |
On a long circular from Llangedwyn, a glorious day | greboicus | 02/04/2021 |
Lovely clear sunny day from which to appreciate the extensive views. Cairn on low ridge in sheep pasture but HP probably outcropping rock nearby. | Denise | 22/11/2020 |
Unhindered over sheep pasture with sheep from field path to E. Blocky cairn, high point outcropping rock, fine views, sunshine and the bonus excitement of a 400m excursion into Wales. | RichardM | 22/11/2020 |
Up as per gerrybowes. Down to the NE on grassy track to lower ROW. | PGCE | 22/08/2020 |
Parked in layby to east at 2230 2695 - SE along road & then up towards Wernllyfnant & start of waymarked RoW - Over slightly awkward bit of fencing & then followed RoW to embedded summit rock & nearby cairn which has been built on remains of a wall. (S) | gerrybowes | 05/11/2019 |
Parked to the east in lay by (enough room for about six cars), then p/f's take you almost to the summit. | David Evans | 27/04/2019 |

Parked with permission SJ222272 (at wide entrance alongside rocks). Using mapped tracks, there are two gates at SJ217272 and SJ216270 which cut a large corner off. | carole engel | 10/06/2017 |
On trefonen hill walk. Tired walkers streaming up and over the north side, seemingly none interested in the 2 minutes extra walk to claim this quite prickly tricky hump! Pleasant enough area, not remarkable. Glad I did it though! With norm. | tumpawumpa | 27/05/2017 |
AS part of trefonen hill walk. Knackered after walking up from America so rested on the path whilst tumpawumpa did the summit | BannerzBaggins | 27/05/2017 |
Had to be done. Some of the 'Across the Cynllaith' marauders were dying by this point, so tumpawumpa and I dashed to the summit. A cairn sits atop. Visibility disastrous. | nwormgage | 27/05/2017 |
Parked by Graig-Wen woods then same as others along track to America, followed path to high point then to top. Fantastic views, descended via path to Bwrdd Tre'r Arglwydd and along path down to road and woods. Paths coming down all well marked, nice circular. | Rob50 | 02/04/2017 |
Delightful straightforward ascent from the northeast. Same route as Douglas but without the wellies. | Alex C | 14/03/2017 |
Parked on the road to the NE just passed the junction at SJ 22264 27259. Then up track to Fron to take muddy footpath through two muddy gates then a path of sorts zigzagging up through bracken then over fence and up to obvious summit. A lovely sunny morning and happily bagged in my wellies. | Dugswell2 | 02/10/2016 |
