Parked in a layby on the A478, the quarry turning had 4 lorries in it. Then took the minor road and RoW past Pentre-Glâs to the open hillside. Somewhere on that stretch two Border Terriers joined us. The dogs then followed us all the way to the top - enjoying the same good views as us. Returned by the same route and lost the dogs at roughly the same point we found them.garyhoney25/08/2022
Circular walk from Mynachlog-ddu taking in Foel Dyrch, Crugiau Dwy and Crug-yr-hwch for good measure. Didn't pass a single person the whole way round. Great views.AdSonic7414/05/2022
On Nicholas memorial (park at SN 173317)- Crugiau Dwy- Foel Dyrch- Carn Menyn- Foel Drygarn- Mountain-bach- Nicholas memorial walk, a fine expedition. Don't be put off the ridge walk from Crugiau Dwy. It starts with an easy wall climb (access land both sides), then no more climbs over walls or BBW fences and ok to good terrain with farmer's tracks and a well-worn animal track. I left access land at a gate at 167307, crossed the field going W, and joined a path from a gap, back on access land to join an obvious mown route with a trodden path in the middle, right to the summit. It lookled as though I could have kept to access land all the way- certainly, there's a gate at 164303. In all, an enjoyable, satisfyingly 'pure' leg of my day's walk. Big cairn below HP nice place for a break.pwheeler10/05/2022
Parked at 15354 30473, up the track then straight up the hillside where the going was not too difficult. 1.22 miles 34 mins.clivevilla04/10/2021
Parking for a couple of cars by track to Henbark (SN 10169 26122). Took ROW to access land then picked up small path at SN 15659 30283 which delivered me to the shelter, then strolled along to the summit rock(s). 1.3 mile return trip.DC11main31/07/2021
Easy parking opposite quarry entrance at SN 1667 2880 - Lane & then RoW to T-junction at 157296 - Turned left & along RoW for about 200m to start of sheep trod at SN 1553 2956 - WNW along sheep trod to join path/ATV track which heads up SW ridge to summit rock. (S)gerrybowes19/07/2021
Parked at quarry entrance on A478. ROW to Pentre Glas, then old quarry. Sheep tracks diagonally right past pines, later directly up to mown swathe on ridge. Straightforward, with no vegetation-bashing.PGCE18/07/2021
Really gorgeous twilight colours illuminating the western horizon this evening. Long walk from St Clears starting to draw to its conclusion now.Alex C14/07/2021
From Crugiau Dwy descended to the right of way near Pen-y-ddafad. Followed this to the lower slopes of Foel Dyrch, where a path climbed the hill. Descended the broad south east ridge and then traversed around to reach the road near Dolau-isaf. Followed the lanes back to the car below Carn Sian. Solo.Sprog28/05/2019
Parking to the NE, over the neighbouring Tump with Jenx and Bryher. Ponies abounding, down to Bridleway and summit rock. Back via Bridleway which is not good on the ground and has been altered through farmland with new fences without gates/stiles.nordicstar05/04/2019
Some mown ways through the heather were helpful. Bridleway down a bit obscure.jenx05/04/2019
From layby opposite quarry, lane to access land.rhalstead09/03/2019
Good parking on the A478 opposite the quarry. From Pentre Glas headed directly uphill. Good underfoot. One hour solo return.bolton03/01/2019
Easy parking on A478 for road/track to Pentre Glas. Up path to cut heather strip from far left of quarry is easiest- only found this on way back after heather/bilberry bash on way up.Mark Sims31/05/2018
Ascended via Pentre Glas and old slate quarry and ROW to south. HP is triangular outcropping rock. SW of HP are remains of oblong stone building. There was a cut in the heather which enabled much easier progress than the tump opposite.Denise 21/09/2016
From the S. Track to Pentre Glas then field path up onto Heather moorland. High point is prominent slab of rock poking up from heather. SW wind, overcast, hazy views.RichardM21/09/2016
from Crugiau Dwy flat top on to Carn Wenunderhill06/08/2015
From road below Henbarc. Steep and rough but not really difficultColin Crawford28/06/2015
ROW to Henbarc then straight up.tim74728/04/2015
3/7 Climbed up from Henbrac farm as this is a right of way. head for abandoned building and after that pull north to large rock which is summitFergalh27/01/2015
RoW access track to Henbarc, then directly up side of hill to summit. Flatish top but there is one large rock that seems to be the summit point. The substantial wind break 150m SW looks like it may have been a sheep pen.jonglew31/08/2014
park on verge at start of track to Henbarc. The high point is NE of a large well built rectangular wind break.arranc14/09/2013
Parked easily on main road to S. Could park on minor road. Followed road to houses.Fields then heather and mainly gorse to top. Thought top was the 'wind shelter.'destaylor14/11/2011
Parked at start of bridleway to W. Heavy going near the top through heather. Flat.chrisbien11/05/2011
Just space to park on verge at bottom of drive to Henbarc.PeteF22/07/2010
From minor road to north, parking trick so I climb initially towards the mast then skirted round to head for the summit. Still dry and sunny this morning with great views of The Preseli Mountains.Dugswell223/03/2009
