Typically we timed it for a gloomy rain shower as we reached the top, but it was quick to pass through and soon brightened up pleasantly once again on the way down. | Alex C | 06/11/2023 |
From road to the south with mound permission to park my car opposite the track. Trig pillar to the east is one metre lower. S5450 | vegibagger | 02/10/2023 |
Parked in a lay-by near a defibrillator box at SO 01588 47557. Took the lane west, and then the bridleway/track around and up to the trig point, and to the unmarked top nearby. Varied descent by dropping down on access land to join the bridleway further north, thus avoiding a GOML sign on the track. 5.8km, with 200m of ascent. | Man of Kernow1 | 07/05/2023 |
From SSW. Parked on W. side of wide entrance to Abertocken at SO 0069 4757 (pleasant owners) - Short walk along road to New Building & then along bridleway & through gate into access land at 003482 - Continued along bridleway for about 15m & turned right up wide grassy path through dead bracken to join main track - Up track & then about 80m across thick heather to the unmarked summit. HP not at trig/ on path but obvious, though unmarked in low heather and bilberry. Larks sing through low grey cloud. | Denise | 10/06/2021 |
From the W gaining the grassy track once on access land. | RichardM | 10/06/2021 |

Cycled up from Builth to New Buildings. Followed up Bridleway to the Heart of Wales Trail. Left bike for a lovely walk up to the summit amidst a cacophony of skylark song. Returned to Builth down the BW to the north east. | Rob Rees | 14/03/2020 |
From New Building farm to SW. Farmer asked if I was going on footpath, so I said yes. Followed track until out of sight of farm before heading up to summit. There are a couple of signs saying track up hill is not a ROW. | PGCE | 05/02/2020 |
From New Building Farm with permission. Up the ROW to SO 00253 48003 then NE to the off-path heather covered summit and on to the trig. Returned the same way. | Jim.Fothergill | 28/08/2018 |
Parked at New Building. Moelfre then across to Pen Neuadd. Several bwf but otherwise fairly straightforward. A little over an hour. | clivevilla | 25/10/2017 |
Parked adjacent to New Building Farm to south west of hill. Followed track up onto Open Access Land. Summit 100 ms west of TP. | Campbell Singer | 02/01/2016 |

Short walk up from farm to SW. Farmer happy for car to be left there. Initially on RoW then, after final farm gate, over heather clad open access land. 4in snow covering, lots of blue sky, lovely day. | jonglew | 17/01/2015 |
Followed permissive path from SN 01950 47661 - short grass most of the way! | Chris Peart | 03/01/2015 |

Parked below Newbuilding Farm to SW of hill then up track most of way to bag trig then the one meter higher heather moorland summit with Phil Cooper on a damp windy morning. | Dugswell2 | 19/11/2012 |
Easy walk up from Newbuilding Farm. Farmer's wife happy for us to park and knew where we were headed for. Summit a bit before trig - nice views. | chriswatson | 17/11/2012 |
Followed a signed path, through a gate, over a turnip field to the other side and on rough pasture to a stile onto open moor. Ravens, 2 red kites and a buzzard. More bracken thrashing to a wide cross path leading W to the column 5450 441m - about 150m away from the top. | arranc | 28/09/2011 |
Parked at farm - woman in house quite happy about that. Farmer in tractor, so I behaved - no fence climbing even though it meant going back to a missed gate. Trig is not the top. | Martin R | 05/08/2011 |
Parked easily off road to SW by houses. Track goes all the way apart from about 50m. | destaylor | 31/03/2011 |
