Braeriach - Cairn Toul traverse ... Day one - Beautiful sunny day with some high cloud ... fantastic views! ... Very dry on top of Braeriach, and although a couple fellow walkers on their way down had kindly shared some of their water with us we were pleased to be able to replenished our water supply properly at the falls of Dee, taking extra with us for a welcome cup of coffee later in the evening. (My overheated feet found their way into the lovely fast running stream of cold water too!)R & K31/07/2022

A massive circular walk to Braeriach from the Rothiemurchus Forest. Wet and windy on top leading to a difficult descent to Gleann Eanaich made better by a siting of a Mountain hare. Beautiful sunshine on the long return leg to Rothiemurchus Forest.Ginger Dave29/08/2015
Sugar Bowl Car Park to Chalamain Gap, then up Braeriach via Sron na Lairige, W across plateau to Stob Coire an Lochain, and S to Carn na Criche. Then S along ridge to Angel's Peak and Cairn Toul and finally the Devil's Point. Descend to Corrour Bothy and N back through the Lairig Ghru to Sugar Bowl CP. A very long day in superb conditions. Calm, dry and sunny. Excellent views of the whole Highlands. 34km with 2070m ascent taking 11 hours.silveracorn_alan26/08/2014

Solo (while gp on DoE), fr NH985073, mostly running, still in mist at this stage. A few snow patches. Had to navigate this plateau carefully but the ground made for good fast running progress.NorfolkPT2110/07/2013
Walked in Thurs 20th from Gen Feshie to camp on Tom Dubh. Wake solstice to total silence, wind free. First sound is bird song, n tumbling water as I cross first stream up to Cairn Toul. Wisps of cloud hang like a jellyfish with numerous tendrils hanging down, above Beinn Bhrotain to south. CT for the 3rd time SaLU for 2nd time and as I head for the Braeriach plateau, frustratingly bank of cloud rolls over. Meet Canadian guy, Mark in clagg, we wander plateau a little disorientated towards eastern cliffs. Some confusion and uncertainty, eventually get there, mist is thinning. As we part, I head further NE towards my northern Murdo. Hot n clear now. On way back contour round western edge of plateau, look down into Loch Coire an Lochain and across tops to Carn na Criche. Longed to return to Braeriach in summer with no clag, since age 13 4th June '66 with dad, plateau covered in snow and clagged in. A joyous day today indeed.vegibagger21/06/2013

With Shaky from the Sugar Bowl car park via the Chalamain Gap & N ridge of Sron na Lairige to Braeriach. Mist & rain obscured the view on a previous ascent 6 years earlier but this time with the cloud off the summits, included Stob Coire an Lochain, Einich Cairn & Carn na Criche before heading more directly back to the summit of Braeriach & then back the same way.NotReallyABagger26/09/2006

From camp site at Coylumbridge on bike, past the last solitary pine and crossed river with dicey two tree trunk bridge. Sloosh in river and to foot of stalkers path at 11.00. Left bike. Steady climb on good path and steeper zig zag over snow blockage to grass on the plateau at 12.05. Another 800' uphill. Temperature like an oven! Onto final flats where everything was gravel and boulders. Crunch of boots the only sound. To Eunice Cairn and to top . to B.arranc03/06/1985
