A very enjoyable solo wander up here in pleasant conditions an hour before sunset. And with delightful views over to nearby Wooler and the northern Cheviot Hills I wasn't in any particular hurry to dash off from this serene hilltop for the immediate time being.Alex C24/03/2024
Parked at clubhouse car park, smells of cooking. Easy walk down golf course up to trig pillarcjo23/03/2024
Road up to golf course was sheet ice. Parked in Doddington (NT999324) - beware very soft verges. A few metres up the GC road, at a deladated stile on R, a thin FP heads up through gorse, then heavy bracken, to follow outside perimter of GC BWF, then green lane to trig.Isbjorn26/12/2023

6/6 As others, parked at Wooler Golf Club, and asked permission at the Club House, which was readily given. Followed the clear track across the golf course, visiting the ancient settlement on the way the trig. What a splendid spot to view the Cheviot Hills - especially on a sunny late afternoon with excellent air clarity as today.silveracorn_alan11/05/2022

Parking at Wooler Golf Club. Clear track > Dod Law.JohnR09/05/2021
This is my fourth hill for today. I considered parking at the Wooler golf course and walking from there, however I would have missed out on some of the views out towards The Cheviot and friends. I eventually parked in Doddington and set off across Doddington Moor. I reached the edge of the golf course and walked close to the fence line. The cold wind continued to blow and I didn’t hang around at the trig point for very long. 1.7 miles in 35 minutes.JamesJones11/03/2021
Parked in front of the village hall.tim74708/09/2020
From golf club. Having read other entires it is obvious that they are happy for people to park there. However, I asked for permission as its only polite. Done as a run up and down in no time. I don't play golf but 'If Carling made golf courses' !thenomad07/08/2020
As others, parked at golf club and followed obvious track. Cheery wave from the groundsman. Interesting info at http://www.stone-circles.org.uk/stone/dodlawmain.htmPGCE14/05/2020

With K. Parked at golf clubhouse where sign says 'we welcome walkers' or something similar. Also checked in clubhouse where permission was readily granted. A mud track leads up through golf course with two vehicles parked almost at the summit and a sign saying 'Vehicles left at own risk'. Summit area has two hillforts and cup and ring rock art.Ashley11/08/2019
Asked at the club house for permission to park which was pleasantly given .... even thanked me for asking! A straightforward, reasonably flat walk south to the open-access gate, only a couple of minutes from the summit. About 30 minutes return.moorsman02/08/2019
Short walk from the bus stop in the village after a much longer walk earlier in the day to Threestone Burn stone circle. Visited several of the rock art panels, the hillforts and the stone circle as the light was starting to go. A fabulous hill with huge amounts of stuff to explore.thesweetcheat11/03/2019
