Parked in St. Bees near Abbey, walked via beach CP and clifftop path nearly to St. Bees Head, then followed FP up to top and turned R to very top. Returned via Rottington. Nice walk but cold wind and intermittent rain.IanHHill16/03/2024

Came back from Whitehaven along the enjoyable clifftop walk as far as the lighthouse. Before then heading up here via the transmitter and then walking out eastward along the track to Rottington in gathering twilight.Alex C19/10/2023
Train to St Bees, walk from start sign of C2C, to Fleswick Cove and then FP going E. Had a couple of issues with frisky cattle so after trig went almost direct W back to main path. However crossing fences here is hard due to barbed wire and high steep banks. A genuinely unfriendly feel and a good place for the Right to Roam campaign to visit one daytrimarc212/07/2023
From St Bees beach CP - via Coast Path and NX 9480 1326 (no BWF issues).summitsup11/06/2023
Parked by transmitter, then South using gates and stiles. To trig and then onto HP a short way further. Good views on clear day to IOM and Dumfries and Galloway hills.PeterD20/04/2023

Drove up the lane from Sandwith and parked by the transmitter compound. Only nasty notice was one for audio recording! Walked S down lane, through a few gates, over a few stiles to the trig, and high point in other field. All very easy.Minto30/12/2022

From the transmitter. Inadvertently backflipped over the fence to the field corner summit, entertaining any hedgerow creatures who may have been watching.Nick Down104/07/2021

2/2 Parked Linethwaite, walked over using Coast to Coast path, up to just before the farm and left through old quarry area, and up through 1 gate to summit. Farmer out with sheep happy to see us. Then on Coast to Coast right over past the second trig point to the coast, walked along coast towards St Bees Head, took track up to the old Mast, and then used footpath diagonally over to near the Trig Point. Then picked up Coast to Coast again, down to St Bees, and back using lanes near the railway to the car. Nice circular, took us about 4 hours.nickywood120/09/2020

Despite threatening notices at the start of the road running east from Sandwith it is possible to drive as far as the mast. Then you can follow a series of stiles and faded waymarks to the very summit. This is not a tresspass as there is public access throughout. Saw the farmer in the adjacent field. Waved to each other so was obviously quite happy with me being at the summit. 3.72 km return, 45 minutesmoorsman09/05/2019

Parked at the mast at 955148. Followed ROW, then across fields by wall to HP. No public access shown on the OS 1:25k map but there are footpath signs all over, and quite near the HP. made a good walk of it by descending to the coast path, then walked beyond the lighthouse back on ROW to mast. Big field margins, lots of farmland bird- RSPB. With Pete. Fine weather but also some sea fog lapping onshorepwheeler25/09/2017

Access road to Lighthouse and parked at the mast at 955148. A two mile and forty minute walk return in good weather. One barbed gate to clamber over and trig is east side of high grassed wall. High point in corner of field was very muddy. Solo.bolton09/01/2017
