3rd of 8 hills on a 10 mile linear walk with Carole Engel. From Halls Lane (SD 4735 9993, room for 1 car), to loop layby on A6 (NY 5475 0250). From Millrigg Knott and on to Murthwaite Knott. | jonglew | 30/11/2017 |
Nice to be starting a walk in Longsleddale again, though we could have started in Staveley, where we were staying, with little more effort. Parking in passing place/layby S of Docker Nook seemed OK then up the bw to access land and HP. Very pleasant, sunny periods and long views, though I found the unusual aspect of the fells round Longsleddale and Kentmere most interesting. With brother, Pete | pwheeler | 05/10/2017 |
I was told, very firmly (but politely) by the postman and, five minutes later (sternly) by the dustman, that the space at the road end, west of Brunt Farm, is their turning area and NOT a parking space. As I had finished my walk, I apologised prufusely and promised not to use it again! | moorsman | 06/04/2017 |

Round of Synges / W OFs bottom of Longsleddale - Ulgraves, Potter Fell x 2, Sleddale Forest, Murthwaite Knott - 10.3 miles, 2528ft ascent. To avoid the Longsleddale parking problem I left the car in the layby on the A6 at SD526,989 - only added a mile to the walk. | Crib Goch | 21/03/2015 |

Done as part of the Potter Fell collection (3331, 2616, 5291, 3332, 2669). Clear views despite the light rain showers. Couldn't take a direct route between some summits due to a lack of gates. | JohnStoneham | 07/02/2014 |

From Skeggles path climbing dry stone walls then over to the far superior Brunt Knott. | Eddie | 09/01/2013 |
Climbed from Cocks Close cottage, which my partner's family rented for Christmas. Walked up the road from the cottage then up the track at Docker Nook. Left the track early and ended up with a very rough walk from the 411m top. I returned the same way due to deteriorating weather. | Jake994 | 24/12/2012 |
From church in Longsleddale. Road up valley very icy, as was the walk - bulk of ascent in shadow, hence ice everywhere. Pleasant enough once upper fell reached. Only others seen were four mountain bikers, one of whom came a cropper... | Aye Jimmy | 02/12/2012 |
Staveley circular. Fairly firm going. | Smudge | 17/11/2012 |
Climbed from Stavelly taking in all tops around Potter fell | robert | 06/08/2012 |
Parking on road to east at beginning of track - bit tricky but OK. Track goes pretty much all the way. Try not to be seduced off piste at 4985 0103 - unless you like heather and some bog. | destaylor | 27/07/2012 |
Completed while doing Outlying Fells with Phil G4OBK and Geoff (later M6PYG). | G4OOE | 29/03/2012 |
