Loop from Alstonefield. Missed the rain mainly, Wolfscote dale including caves which are worth a look, Wolfscote Hill, Gratton Hill and across to Narrowdale hill. Bit of a tricky one getting onto the right side of walls, but fun nonetheless, 10km in 4 hrs. | Nicky C | 28/10/2020 |

On a walk from Alstonefield, along Wolfescote Dale, back via Narrowdale- done a few times, but this the first time with the hills as well- this one, Narrowdale Hill and Gratton Hill. We traversed Wolfscote Hill SE to NW, using a route marked by green posts to connect the access land with more recent CROW access. Very pleasant terrain. We got the exit a bit wrong, clambering through a delapidated wall- no harm done, but would be better to find the right place. With Pete. | pwheeler | 14/03/2018 |
National TRust land so public access permitted. Most potentional parking places down the access road have official no parking notices in them. Managed to park however immediately before Wolfscote Grange Farm (alt 261m) Continued towards The Whim climbing the fencing at a wooden railing. Straight upwards from here. 1.26km return.30 mins. 172, ascent. | moorsman | 10/03/2018 |

Parking: Very tight in by access point gate SK137580. Route: Over access gate and immediately through wooden gate, then NNW to summit. | David Evans | 02/04/2017 |
Great to get out after 3 days cloistered away indoors slaving. This is a very good hill, steep, an interesting summit and nice dry grass to walk on even in January. Just goes to show that the Derbyshire side of the river is the place to be. Shame that the fog rolled in just as I got to the top. | Gill | 25/01/2017 |
